Sudanese Army Takes Control of Dabibat with an Ultimatum for Rapid Support to Exit Al Fasher
Khaberni - Tell me - The spokesperson for the Sudanese Army announced that its forces have tightened control over the city of Dabibat in South Kordofan, western part of the country, after battles with Rapid Support Forces. The joint forces allied with the army confirmed that they inflicted heavy losses on the Rapid Support Forces in the city of Dabibat, in both lives and equipment. The statement pointed out that the retaking of Dabibat represents an important step in securing the Kordofan region (3 states) and advancing towards the Darfur region (5 states). Elements of the Sudanese Army posted video clips on social media platforms, announcing their entry into Dabibat and the defeat of the Rapid Support Forces. Dabibat, located 186 kilometers from Kadugli, the state capital, is a strategic city as it connects South Kordofan to North Kordofan and East Darfur states. The control over Dabibat also paves the way to lift the siege on Delanj, which is 60 kilometers away, and is the second-largest city in South Kordofan in terms of area. In the meantime, Abu Aaqla Kaikl, the commander of the Sudan Shield Forces fighting alongside the Sudanese Army, gave the Rapid Support Forces 48 hours to leave the city of Al Fasher, the capital of North Darfur State. Kaikl added in a speech to a group of his fighters that the Sudan Shield Forces and all formations of the Sudanese Army would head to Al Fasher to break the siege on it. Direct confrontation On the other hand, Abdul Rahim Dagalo, the deputy commander of the Rapid Support Forces, said that his forces managed to neutralize the warplanes belonging to the Sudanese Army, including drones. Dagalo added, addressing some Rapid Support soldiers, that "the war is now fully engaged" in all its details, and emphasized that the Rapid Support Forces are ready to perform their military duties, armed with various types of weapons. These developments come days after the Sudanese authorities announced full control over the states of Khartoum and White Nile, and their clearance from Rapid Support Forces, without comment from the latter. Over the past few weeks and at an accelerated pace, the areas controlled by the Rapid Support Forces in Sudan's states have begun to decrease in favor of the army, with its victories extending to include Khartoum and White Nile State. In the other 16 states, the Rapid Support Forces now only control parts of North and West Kordofan and pockets in the states of South Kordofan and Blue Nile, along with 4 of the five states of the Darfur region. Since mid-April 2023, the army and "Rapid Support" have waged a war that has left more than 20,000 dead and about 15 million displaced and refugees, according to the United Nations and local authorities, while a study by American universities estimated the number of deaths at about 130,000.

Olmert: Ben-Gvir and Smotrich are terrorists
Khaberni - Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, on Thursday, described the National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich as "terrorists," holding them responsible for the deterioration of the situation in Israel both internally and externally. Olmert said in statements to the Israeli "103 FM" radio that "the policy led by the terrorists Ben-Gvir and Smotrich is causing a disaster for Israel, and will lead to its isolation and rejection by the entire world." In response to a direct question about his description of them as "terrorists," he replied: "Yes, certainly, terrorists." Olmert harshly criticized the continuation of the war on the Gaza Strip, saying: "This is a war without purpose and without any hope for success, but rather deception and arrogant boasting with no basis." Olmert called for "putting an end to the government's overreach and arrogance," emphasizing that Israel is drifting towards the abyss under the leadership of an "extremist and fascist" government, according to his expression. These statements come at a time when criticisms are escalating both inside and outside of Israel against the government of Benjamin Netanyahu, amidst the ongoing genocidal war on the Gaza Strip which has left more than 175,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, mostly children and women, in addition to thousands missing and hundreds of thousands displaced.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Warns Israel Against Any Attack
Khaberni - The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated on Thursday that Israel would face "a devastating and decisive response" if it attacked Iran, days after CNN reported that US intelligence indicates Israel is preparing to strike Iranian nuclear facilities. Official media quoted the spokesperson of the Revolutionary Guard, Ali Mohammad Naeini, saying, "They try to scare us with war, but their calculations are wrong as they underestimate the strong public and military support that Iran can mobilize in war conditions." Tehran and Washington will hold a fifth round of nuclear talks on Friday in Rome amid sharp disputes over uranium enrichment in Iran, which the United States says could lead to the development of nuclear bombs, a claim Iran denies. CNN, citing intelligence officials, added that it is still unclear whether Israeli leaders have made a final decision, indicating a difference of opinion within the American government on whether the Israelis will ultimately decide to carry out the strikes. Diplomats say that the collapse of the US-Iran negotiations, or reaching a new nuclear agreement, does not diminish Israel's concerns about Iran developing nuclear weapons, which may prompt Israel to strike against its regional rival. According to official media, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei, described on Tuesday the US demands to stop uranium enrichment as "exaggerated and irritating," expressing his doubts about the success of the talks on a new nuclear deal. Tehran says its nuclear program is intended solely for civilian purposes.
