Central Hajj Committee discusses Hajj preparations and progress of projects at holy sites
Saudi Gazette report JEDDAH — A meeting of the Central Hajj Committee, chaired by Deputy Emir of Makkah Prince Saud bin Mishaal in Jeddah on Wednesday, discussed plans and preparations for the current Hajj season. The meeting also reviewed the progress of ongoing projects that will be operated during the Hajj season at the holy sites. The meeting was held in line with the directives of Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Emir of Makkah and Chairman of the Central Hajj Committee Prince Khaled Al-Faisal. During the virtual meeting, the Saudi Water Authority presented its projects and operational trials conducted to date for water and wastewater services in the holy sites for this Hajj season. These efforts include the execution of 10 projects aimed at enhancing the capacity and efficiency of operational reservoirs, improving water supply networks in the holy sites, and adding around 3,500 new toilets in Mina. The authority's preparations also include three operational trials for both water and sewage networks as well as fire extinguishing and cooling systems. The committee further reviewed the progress of the Makkah Mayoralty's projects concerning new waste compactors to be added in the holy sites. It discussed initiatives from the Ministry of Transport and Logistics to use flexible rubber asphalt and thermal insulation coating for routes to reduce temperatures and enhance the comfort of walking pilgrims.

Deputy Emir of Makkah reviews crowd control plans for Khatm Al-Qur'an at Grand Mosque
Saudi Gazette report RIYADH — Deputy Emir of Makkah Prince Saud bin Mishaal chaired on Wednesday the Central Hajj Committee's meeting to review various agencies' plans for the remaining days of the holy month, particularly the conclusion of the Holy Qur'an recitation (Khatm Al-Qur'an) on the 29th night of Ramadan at the Grand Mosque. This is in line with the directives of Advisor to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Emir of Makkah Region and Chairman of the Central Hajj Committee Prince Khaled Al-Faisal. During the meeting, Prince Saud conveyed the greetings of Prince Khaled Al-Faisal to the officials and all employees of various agencies for their efforts to facilitate the pilgrims perform their rituals in ease and comfort. He emphasized the importance of concerted efforts to achieve the leadership's aspirations. The deputy emir listened to a briefing on the agencies' work, most notably the crowd management plans to control flows to ensure the safety of worshipers and pilgrims, in addition to plans to organize traffic management and the readiness of public transportation stations. The committee discussed the latest developments regarding the concerned agencies' plans and preparedness for Hajj 2025. It reviewed a number of other topics on the agenda, and made the necessary recommendations.

Central Haj Committee reviews crowd management plans for last 10 days of Ramadan
JEDDAH — A meeting of the Central Hajj Committee reviewed the crowd management plans in the wake of the expected huge influx of pilgrims and worshipers to the Grand Mosque in Makkah during the last ten days of Ramadan. Deputy Emir of Makkah Prince Saud bin Mishaal chaired the meeting held under the directive of Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, advisor to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, emir of Makkah Region, and chairman of the Central Hajj Committee. The meeting also followed up and discussed the authorities' plans for the Hajj 2025. During the meeting, Prince Saud was briefed on the plans of the relevant authorities during the last ten days of Ramadan to enable the pilgrims to perform their rituals in ease and comfort as well as to ensure the safety of worshippers and pilgrims. The committee reviewed plans to organize traffic management and the readiness of public transport stations, while the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque briefed the meeting on its activities since the beginning of the month. Regarding preparations for the last ten days of Ramadan, the authority stated that it has prepared prayer halls in coordination with the relevant departments, increased the number of carpets and incense, air-conditioned elevators to accommodate the large number of visitors, provided additional volunteer teams to serve pilgrims and worshippers, increased the daily number of water bottles, and operated technical teams around the clock to monitor maintenance and renovation work. The committee also discussed several other topics on the agenda and made the necessary recommendations. During the first 15 days of the holy month, 10,822,999 iftar meals were served, 344,36 prayer rugs were spread, and 385,776 Zamzam water bottles were distributed at the Grand Mosque. Central Hajj Committee reviews preparations and development projects for Hajj 2025
Saudi Gazette report MAKKAH — A meeting of the Central Hajj Committee, chaired by Deputy Emir of Makkah Prince Saud bin Mishaal, reviewed the overall readiness of services provided to pilgrims during Ramadan and the forthcoming Hajj season. The meeting was held under the directives of Emir of Makkah Region and Chairman of the Central Hajj Committee Prince Khaled Al-Faisal. Prince Saud was briefed on the work of the agencies that provide their services to visitors to the House of God during the holy month. The committee discussed the latest developments related to the Hajj 2025 plans, and the emergency plan of the General Directorate of Civil Defense for Hajj, which involves participation of 43 agencies. During the meeting, Kidana Company presented its development projects for Hajj 2025, including shading and cooling the paths at the holy sites of Mina and Arafat, a project to mitigate the effects of heat stress in the areas surrounding the Namirah Mosque, two-story toilet complexes, replacing concrete stairs in high areas with electric stairs, preparing additional pressure boxes in the holy site of Mina, mitigating the effects of heat stress in the Jabal Al-Rahmah area, and a project to plant trees and increase vegetation cover. The committee also discussed a number of other topics on the agenda and made the necessary recommendations regarding them.
