South African educator, poet, and novelist Shaakira Ally received the esteemed 'Outstanding UAE Author Excellence Award' at the prestigious UAE's Next MasterMind Awards 2025, held at the majestic Al Habtoor Palace, Dubai, for her critically acclaimed novel, I Swear by Azania. Shaakira received the prestigious award from Khaled Diab, president of Rotary Dubai Cosmopolitan and two-time Guinness World Record holder; Philippe Gerwill, globally renowned Digital Health Key Opinion Leader and Futurist; and Frank Beckmann, founder and CEO of GVI Investment Advisory. The moment was met with thunderous applause as the audience witnessed a writer of fierce truth-telling and emotional intelligence being recognised on a global stage. Beloved comedy duo Hesham Maged and Mostafa Gharieb take the lead in Bershama
Egyptian star Hesham Maged has officially announced the start of filming for his new movie Bershama, marking another exciting new collaboration with Mostafa Garieb and director Khaled Diab following their successful series Ashghal Shaqqa Geddan. The film is penned by Sherine and Khaled Diab, with contributions from Ahmed El-Zoghby, and features a star-studded cast including Riham Abdel Ghafour, Bassem Samra, Taha Desouky, along with several special guest appearances. Bershama is a social comedy that tackles a fresh and unconventional topic with sharp wit and humor. Hesham Maged has been riding a wave of success, with his recent hits Fasel Men Al Lahazat El Laziza and Ex Meraty raking in over 150 million EGP at the box office last year. Now, Bershama is set to be one of the most anticipated films of Eid Al-Adha, with filming already underway in preparation for the upcoming cinematic season.
