Sharjah charity launches water network for 1,000 families in Tajikistan

Sharjah Charity International (SCI) has launched a project to provide water to 1,000 families in rural and mountainous regions of Tajikistan, where access to safe drinking water remains scarce. The initiative is part of SCI's humanitarian efforts during the first 10 days of Dhul-Hijjah, the final month of the Islamic calendar. Khaled Hassan Al Ali, Director of Projects and External Aid at SCI, emphasised the organisation's focus on long-term, sustainable development. 'Our goal is to implement projects that make a lasting impact,' he said. 'The water network we're constructing in Tajikistan will be vital for these families, offering them stability and essential support. This project reflects the UAE's commitment to aiding vulnerable communities and advancing global development. It is part of our ongoing mission to ensure that people in drought-affected areas have reliable access to clean water.'

4 Mar 2025 11:58 SHARJAH (WAM) Sharjah Charity International (SCI) has begun implementing the "Ramadan Iftar" project in 43 countries, allocating 300,000 Iftar meals throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan at a total cost of Dh3 project aims to provide Iftar meals to fasting people in various countries, in coordination with the relevant authorities and the association's offices spread across many countries covered by the project. Director of Projects and External Aid Department, Khaled Hassan Al Ali, expressed his pride in expanding SCI scope of work this year, highlighting that the project reflects the commitment to spreading the values of giving and solidarity, ensuring that support reaches the largest possible number of people in need worldwide.
