Haitham bin Saqr attends Wadi Al Helo Days for folk poetry
In the presence of Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, the Deputy Head of the Ruler's Office in Kalba, the Department of Culture in the Eastern Region organised the Wadi Al Helo Days for folk poetry in its eighth edition on Saturday. The opening ceremony was attended by Khamees Al Mazrouei, the Wadi Al Helo area governor, Dr. Ahmed Saeed Al Mazrouei, Director of Kalba Municipality, Rashid Al Zaabi, Director of the Eastern Region at the Department of Culture, along with a crowd of officials, representatives from government departments, dignitaries, and local residents. Participation of elite poets Shamsa Al Mazrouei, head of the Wadi Al Helo Office at the Department of Culture, mentioned that the events featured the participation of a distinguished group of poets from the country and beyond, who competed in reciting various types of poetry, including shala, ardha, wanah, and other forms of poetry. Distinct participation of folk and folkloric arts groups In an interview with "Sharjah 24," she clarified that the new edition of the Wadi Al Helo Days for folk poetry included remarkable participation from folk and folkloric arts groups. Additionally, there was an art exhibition titled "Rock Garden," and a large number of departments and institutions participated in the events, each allocated with diverse stalls in the accompanying village.

Mohamed Al Jasmi: 1.2 million roses in 13th Flower Exhibition
In the presence of Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Ruler's Office in Kalba, the Kalba Municipality launched the events for the 13th Flower Exhibition, held annually at the public beach park. Significant official attendance The opening ceremony was attended by Khamees Al Mazrouei, Wali of Wadi Al Helo, Dr. Ahmed Saeed Al Mazrouei, Director of Kalba Municipality, and a large number of directors and representatives from government departments, as well as local residents. Expansion in space and participation Mohamed Ibrahim Al Jasmi explained that this year's event sees an expansion in the allocated space and an increase in the number of participating departments and institutions, along with a notable rise in the number of flowers displayed. 25 types of seasonal flowers and 16 varieties of ornamental plants Al Jasmi stated in exclusive remarks to "Sharjah 24" that this year's exhibition includes nearly 1.2 million flowers and seedlings, divided into about 25 different types of seasonal flowers and 16 varieties of ornamental plants. Activities and workshops for children, artistic and folkloric performances The Chairman of the Organising Committee added that the exhibition offers visitors a range of activities over four days, including theater performances, workshops for children, and artistic and folkloric shows, in addition to booths from various departments and municipalities featuring numerous specialised companies in agriculture and irrigation.
