Israeli attacks on Gaza kill 71 in one day, including aid seekers
DaysofPal – At least 71 civilians were killed on Tuesday in a new wave of Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, marking the 99th consecutive day of military aggression that has devastated the besieged Palestinian territory.
The most recent round of shelling and airstrikes intensified the humanitarian crisis amid the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza by targeting refugee camps, family homes, and civilians waiting for humanitarian aid.
According to medical sources, more than 50 people were killed by Israeli fire while waiting for aid. One of the deadliest incidents took place on Salah al-Din Street in central Gaza, where Israeli forces struck a large gathering of civilians seeking food and water. Al-Awda Hospital reported receiving 19 bodies and treating 146 injured, 62 of whom remain in critical condition.
Local sources said 24 civilians were killed and dozens wounded in that single strike alone. The names of some of those killed near Netzarim include Khamis Nahad Al-Warr, Abdullah Wael Al-Barbrawi, Khaled Ibrahim Musleh, Osama Mahmoud Al-Turaifi, Mithqal Abu Lamdi, Abdullah Abu Shihadeh, and Nasser Hamdan Abu Samaha.
Elsewhere in the Strip, at least 20 people were killed near aid distribution points in northern Rafah. Israeli artillery also shelled the Shuja'iya neighborhood east of Gaza City, killing one person and wounding several others.
In Khan Yunis, rescue teams recovered the bodies of Hussam Hussein Ali Abu Shqair and Muhammad Ahmad Muhammad Abu Shqair from the Al-Satar area, following bombardments there.
A strike by Israel on the Al-Farani family home in the Al-Shati refugee camp has killed three people, including two young children, Alaa Al-Farani (4) and Alaa Al-Farani (5), and their father, Alaa Al-Farani 'Abu Muhammad.'
Ten more civilians were killed when Israeli aircraft bombed the home of the Qazaat family in the Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City.
The genocide perpetrated by the Israeli occupation against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has resulted in dire circumstances. The Israeli aggression targeted homes and tents sheltering displaced persons and gatherings of citizens.
With unconditional US support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 187,000 dead and wounded, most of them children and women، and more than 11,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons.
