Resonia Cleans 907 Kg Waste at Ubharat Beach on WED
In observance of World Environment Day, Resonia Ltd. reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability through a hands-on beach cleanup drive at Ubharat Beach, near Surat. Spearheaded by the Khavda IV C Transmission Project, the initiative saw over 100 team members unite to remove a staggering 907 kilograms of waste, all of which was responsibly managed and disposed of.
Backed by the Forest Department's approval, the drive emphasised the need for active environmental stewardship in coastal areas, especially in the face of escalating plastic pollution. The initiative not only contributed to the ecological restoration of a beloved beach but also reflected Resonia's integrated approach to corporate sustainability and community engagement.
'This wasn't just about cleaning a beach,' said Kamlesh Garg, Project Director, Khavda IV C Transmission Project. 'It was about engaging with the local community and building an ecosystem of responsibility and care.'
The event was organized in collaboration with Drishti Foundation Trust, a reputed NGO known for its environmental and social initiatives across India. Drishti provided essential administrative support, safety protocols, and waste disposal logistics.
