Three locals killed Tirah Valley over espionage allegations

The victims, identified as Ibrahim son of Masoor, Samad son of Piyo Khan, and Naveed son of Sher Ghulam, were members of the Malik Din Khel tribe. Sources report that the three men were abducted by unidentified armed individuals on Thursday. Their bodies were discovered early on Friday morning in an open field, bearing execution-style gunshot wounds. Local community members found the remains and shifted them back to the victims' homes. Following the killings, panic spread through the area as the public called on the government and security forces to take immediate action and restore peace in the region. Earlier, security forces have killed 22 militants and injured 18 others during Intelligence-Based Operations (IBOs) in Tirah valley during the past month, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The operations were carried out in response to a series of terrorist incidents targeting civilians and security personnel in the area. 'In response to these heinous acts, security forces are conducting extensive Intelligence-Based Operations (IBOs) in the area against the Khawrij,' the statement read. The counter-terrorism measures, described as extensive and intelligence-driven, underscore the military's determination to stabilise the affected areas.
