UAE beach closed to swimmers after oil found in sea
A beach in the UAE has been closed to swimmers after oil was detected in the water. Khorfakkan Municipality issued a warning on social media saying the Al Zubarah Beach in Sharjah would be temporarily closed for the safety of visitors. Khorfakkan Municipality marks Zayed Humanitarian Day at Old Souq
Event organised by Khorfakkan Municipal Council and partners The Khorfakkan Municipal Council, in cooperation with the Khorfakkan Municipality and the Emirates Red Crescent, organised a Zayed Humanitarian Work Day event on Wednesday at the Old Souq. The event featured a large Iftar banquet that brought together directors and representatives of government departments, institutions, and a large number of workers. The event was attended by His Excellency Dr Mohammed Al Murr Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Municipal Council, Engineer Abdul Rahman Al Naqbi, Director of Khorfakkan Municipality, and other officials.
