Wamiqa Gabbi almost quit Bollywood; accepted Ranveer Singh's '83 for London trip
Wamiqa Gabbi nearly quit Bollywood in 2019 due to stalled growth but accepted a small role in '83 to visit London. This experience reignited her passion, leading to key roles in TV series like Jubilee and films including 'Khufiya', 'Tabaah', 'Baby John', and 'Bhool Chuk Maaf'. Wamiqa Gabbi is now getting recognition for her latest film, 'Bhool Chuk Maaf', co-starring Rajkummar Rao. Having started her acting career at just 13 years old, she has shared the screen with some of Bollywood's biggest names. However, there was a time when Wamiqa considered stepping away from the industry altogether. It was a brief role in the Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone film '83 that reignited her passion for acting and reminded her why she fell in love with the craft in the first place. Early Experiences and Learning on Set During the promotion of 'Bhool Chuk Maaf' alongside Rajkummar Rao and director Karan Sharma, the actress reminisced about her early experiences working as a background artist on Imtiaz Ali's films. She explained how much she absorbed the filmmaking process simply by watching the director and actors closely. Reflecting on those times, as reported in Indian Express, the actress said she was full of dreams back then. She was maybe in 7th grade, and that's when she shot 'Jab We Met'. Her initial learnings of how to be on set came from her experience there. She used to observe the notes Imtiaz used to give, and she is glad that she was around him, Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like El secreto de generar un segundo ingreso es comprar acciones CFD de $250 Capital Markets Undo A Birthday Surprise on the Set She also recounted a special moment from the sets of 'Love Aaj Kal', where Imtiaz had contacted her through email to join the project. During the shoot, her birthday happened, and despite being a background artist, the entire crew surprised her by ordering a cake and celebrating the occasion with her. This thoughtful gesture made a significant impact on her and remains a cherished memory. Turning Point in '83 Wamiqa reflected on a challenging phase in her career around 2019 when she felt her growth as an actor had come to a halt. During that time, she was working on a few films but wasn't enjoying the process of learning anything new, and she felt disconnected from her craft. This led her to consider quitting acting altogether. However, she was offered a role in the film '83. Although she was initially reluctant to take on a small part, she accepted it as an opportunity to visit London and gain clarity about her future in the profession. This experience ultimately helped her reconnect with her passion for acting. About the Film '83 Kabir Khan directed '83, a film that boasted a cast including Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Wamiqa Gabbi, Hardy Sandhu, Ammy Virk, Saqib Saleem, Pankaj Tripathi, and Tahir Raj Bhasin. Career Growth Post '83 Although Wamiqa's role in '83 was brief, it marked a turning point that brought her back into the spotlight. Since then, she has taken on key roles in television series like 'Jubilee' and 'Charlie Chopra' and the 'Mystery of the Solang Valley'. Badhon refutes conspiracy theories claiming she is a RAW agent, takes to social media
Azmeri Haque Badhon Bangladeshi actress Azmeri Haque Badhon is the latest in a series of public figures accused of being a RAW agent. The controversy started after her Facebook post on May 24 calling for national elections and equal rights for all. The post sparked fresh conspiracy theories, including allegations of her links to India's intelligence agency. In a social media post that went viral, Badhon described how these allegations have followed her over the years. In 2021, she was labelled a RAW agent after her role in Vishal Bhardwaj's film Khufiya . The Facebook post reads: 'I wasn't even allowed to attend the film's premiere. Why? Because the Indian High Commission rejected my visa — not once, but five times. During two of my interviews with them, they seemed very concerned about a photo I had posted on social media — a picture with VP Noor at a US Embassy program.' She also wrote about how the labels changed over time. During the July uprisings in Bangladesh, she was accused of being a CIA agent. She was later called a Jamaat agent for sharing a video of a party leader and was even labelled a Mossad operative. In her post, Badhon also pointed out how quickly these labels emerge. She said such rumours are often spread by those unwilling to accept criticism or those who refuse to believe that someone might genuinely want change. Despite these accusations, Badhon remains vocal about her views.

Ali Fazal's Throwback Post Is Brimming With Love For His Late Mother: "Miss You Hard"
New Delhi: Earlier today, Ali Fazal shared a throwback photo on Instagram with his late mother, who died in 2020. In the picture, little Ali is seen sitting in his mother's lap. Along with the photo, Ali Fazal wrote a long, emotional note. He began, 'Miss you today. Miss you hard. I don't like posting nowadays. But.. there is a version I activate from time to time. Wish I had made videos with you in them (selfish of me to want to look at them? Eh..). I suppose nature's slimy ways of filling memories with new memories in an attempt to fade the old ones. Why does a memory and its freshness get tied to the linearity of time. Time maketh old. Ta daaaaa..!!' View this post on Instagram A post shared by ali fazal (@alifazal9) The actor continued, 'Or so we have known. No one parks a thought sideways do they? Mmm.. like a whiz in the trees that whiz past you in a train but the ( forgive me for the word whiz.. you get it) whiz remains beside you. Parallax. Oh shut up.' In a candid stream of consciousness, Ali Fazal added, 'I like the whizz. The whiz is more quantummy… its there it's my ally. Time on the other hand doesn't do a good job really… so we despel it, using tools and drama and other stories surrounding stories within stories. Now imagine someone tangible turning into whiz. Not a bad deal if you ask me. A bit borderline 'you need therapy' but totally comprehensible if you ask me again. Why do you ask? Cuz you are a curious little.' Reacting to the post, Ali Fazal's wife Richa Chadha dropped a red heart. Arjun Kapoor also posted a red heart. Actor Faisal Malik said, 'Love you brother.' Ali Fazal's mother died in Lucknow in June 2020 due to health complications. On the work front, Ali Fazal was last seen in the 2023 film Khufiya. He will be next seen with Kamal Haasan in Thug Life, directed by Mani Ratnam. The film will hit the cinema screens on June 5, 2025.
