Thousands of child carriers recalled; Here's why
(WHTM)– Deuter recalled more than 5,000 Kid Comfort, Kid Comfort Pro, and Kid Comfort Active Child Carriers due to a fall hazard.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, 5,080 child carriers are being recalled. The hinges on the foldable rear kickstand support leg of the recalled child carriers can crack or break, posing a fall hazard to children in them.
The CPSC says there have been 13 reports of hinges cracking and breaking. Still, no injuries have been reported.
The child carriers have a backpack style with a foldable frame with hinges. The CPSC says they are sold in maroon, green, blue, and teal. The product has 'dueter' printed on the back.
