Rochester Amerks host Kids Day
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – We're staying on the ice as the Amerks hosted their annual Kids Day Game for the fourth year in a row.
Sunday at Blue Cross Arena the matinee game featured a total Kids Takeover allowing young fans the opportunity to serve in various game-day roles such as public address announcer, off-ice official, and videographer.
One lucky even fan had the chance to join broadcaster Don Stevens to call the day's action from the broadcast booth.
News 8 spoke with Amerks officials who say Kids Day is a day they look forward to every year.
On top of all the fun on the ice, kids activities took place outside including the Interactive ZooMobile from Seneca Park Zoo.
