Cops release CCTV of two vehicles as the hunt for those who shot dead grandmother Kim Duncan inside her Ambarvale home continues
A bizarre meet-up between the occupants of two vehicles was captured on CCTV around the time a grandmother was fatally gunned down inside her new home. Homicide detectives have released new footage depicting a white SUV and a blue sedan parked behind one another in a cul-de-sac in Sydney 's south-west on the night of April 14 as their quest for answers continues. That same night, 65-year-old Kim Duncan was killed in a drive-by shooting at her home on Dickens Road in Ambarvale at about 11pm. Four weeks on, no arrests or charges have yet been laid over her death. New footage released by police on Sunday showed two men exiting the SUV and walking across to the male driver of the sedan. The men then had a brief conversation before the two cars drove off. The exchange unfolded near Ms Duncan's home around the time of the shooting, police said. Emergency services were called to the home shortly after three gunmen shot a flurry of bullets at her house. Ms Duncan suffered a gunshot wound to her leg and died in a pool of blood on her living room floor. The grandmother had just moved into the home eight weeks prior. A 34-year old man and a 21-year-old woman also at home home at the time of the shooting but were unharmed. Police arrested Ms Duncan's son, 34-year-old James Shaine Dowd in Ambavale two days later. He was taken to Campbelltown Police Station on unrelated matters. Officers also arrested another male, aged 32. Both men assisted police with their inquiries and were released without charge. Daily Mail Australia does not suggest either of the men were involved in the shooting. Police have released descriptions of the three men alongside the CCTV footage. The first male is described as Caucasian, about 180cm tall, thin build and aged in his 30s. Police want to speak to the occupants of a blue sedan (captured on CCTV) and white SUV The second male is described as Middle Eastern, about 185cm tall, athletic build and aged in his 30s. The third male is described as Pacific Islander, about 180cm tall, large build and aged in his 20s. Strike Force Apslawn investigations into the homicide continue.

CCTV offers clues in search for grandmother's killers
Grainy footage of men in two cars has been released on Mother's Day as police search for the drive-by "cowards" who fatally shot a grandmother inside her home. Authorities are yet to charge anyone over the attack in Ambarvale, on Sydney's southwest outskirts, on April 14. Three people got out of a sedan and fired shots at a house on Dickens Rd, where 65-year-old Kim Duncan was fatally hit, police said. Two other people in the home, a 21-year-old woman and 34-year-old man, were not injured. On Sunday, police released CCTV vision in an attempt to find the shooters. It shows a blue sedan driving down a quiet road in the middle of the night. Other dark, grainy footage shows the sedan, along with a white SUV, doing a U-turn at the bottom of a road before parking on the side of the street. Men from each of the cars exit and exchange words, before driving off. Police said it was targeted attack but were unclear if Ms Duncan was their intended victim. The house occupants, who authorities believed had lived there for six to eight weeks, were known to police. Detective Superintendent Grant Healey called the shooting abhorrent, reckless, catastrophic and tragic. "Your mother and the grandmother to your children has been shot by cowards that stood out the front of the house," he said. Police believe three people got out of the sedan, but are unsure how many opened fire at the house. Two of the wanted men are described as aged in their 30s, about 180-185cm tall, with one being white and the other of Middle Eastern appearance. The third male is believed to be a Pacific Islander aged in his 20s, about 180cm tall, with a large build. Speaking after the shooting, nearby resident Louise Hoser said she heard gunshots soon after 10.30pm. "Within 20 minutes I went to bed and my bedroom just lit up with the police lights ... they didn't have the sirens going, but there was a lot of police presence and ambulances up there," she told AAP. "I woke my house up to alert them that something was happening ... it was very distressing to hear the family, and shocking to find out she was an elderly lady."
