DIRCO confirms full support being provided to family of SA woman murdered in US
CAPE TOWN - The Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) has confirmed that it was providing full support to the family of a South African woman who was murdered in the United States (US). It said that American authorities were investigating the circumstances surrounding her murder. Kim White was found murdered in her Virginia home over the weekend and her husband has since been arrested.

Cape Town woman killed in the US, husband arrested
Tragic death of South African woman in Virginia: Husband charged with murder. A Cape Town woman has been killed allegedly by her husband in the United States of America. Kim White was strangled to death following a domestic dispute. Her husband, Alexander Towne, has been charged with second-degree murder. In a statement, Fairfax County Police said Towne was taken into custody without bail following the death of Kim White, originally from Cape Town, South Africa. "On May 24 at 7:48 pm, officers responded to a domestic incident inside a residence of Bromall Court in Chantilly. "The suspect reported that he had assaulted and killed his wife." Police said the victim was found suffering trauma to her upper body and was declared deceased at the scene.

Chantilly man arrested, charged for assaulting, killing wife
CHANTILLY, Va. (DC News Now) — Police in Fairfax County arrested a man accused of killing his wife over the weekend. Officers with the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) first responded to a domestic incident in the 16000 block of Bromall Court in Chantilly on Saturday around 7:50 p.m. FCPD said that a man told officers he had assaulted his wife, killing her. DC police investigating Memorial Day triple shooting in Southeast Officers found 32-year-old Kim White with trauma to her upper body. She was declared dead on the scene. Police said that 32-year-old Alexander Towne of Chantilly assaulted his wife, staying at the scene until officers arrived. Officers took Towne into custody and charged him with second-degree murder.
