Pennsylvania man convicted in shooting death of girlfriend, woman carrying his child
WEST CHESTER, Pa. (WHTM) — A Pennsylvania man will spend the rest of his life in prison, convicted in the murder of his girlfriend and another woman carrying his unborn son.
Mamadou Kallie was convicted on three counts of first degree murder after a six-day trial in Chester County Court.
According to the Chester County District Attorney's Office, Kallie was accused of assassinating his girlfriend, Tiara-Rodriguez-Diaz, in front of their one-year-old son. He also shot and killed Kimberly Ortiz-Zayas, who authorities say was pregnant with Kallie's unborn son. This happened on May 29, 2022 in Valley Township, just outside Coatesville.
'This is an act of violence that is difficult to fathom,' Chester County District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe said. 'Thanks to the collaboration of law enforcement, the meticulous work of the prosecution team, and the diligence of the jury, this Defendant will spend the rest of his life in prison.'
'To the family and friends of the victims Tiara Rodriguez-Diaz and Kimberly Ortiz-Zayas, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers,' Valley Township Police Chief Glenn Eckman said. 'I hope that you find some closure now that the trial has ended.'
