Frontenacs Sign Robin Kuzma
Earlier this week, the Kingston Frontenacs announced the signing of free agent forward Robin Kuzma to an OHL Scholarship and Development agreement. "Robin is a player we have had our eye on for a couple of seasons," said Frontenacs GM Kory Cooper. "The new rule changes opened the door to bringing him to Kingston, and we are excited that he chose to come here." Kuzma played for the Chicago Mission 16-U AAA team for the 2024-25 season. In 63 games, he recorded 35 and a total of 80 points. The 2008-born forward also played five games for the Green Bay Gamblers in USHL and spent time with the U.S. National Team Development Program. While his statistics last season were impressive, he also proved his worth at the Frontenacs development camp at the beginning of May. "Robin showed us a level of competitiveness we really liked and preach within our organization," said Mann. "We look forward to seeing him grow and develop starting in August." Firebirds Sign Multiple Prospects This week, the Flint Firebirds announced the signing of 2025 first-round pick Charlie Murata and 2025 third-round pick Mason Courville. Kingston had a strong 2024-25 season, finishing third in the Eastern Conference. They were eliminated in the second round of the OHL Playoffs, ultimately falling in seven games to the Barrie Colts. Adding Kuzma allows the Frontenacs to replace some of the overagers they will be losing going into next year. Veteran forwards Gage Heyes and Cedrick Guindon will both be moving on. In addition to losing their 2004-born players, the team will need to make some tough decisions concerning their group of 2005-born players. The Frontenacs loaded up on 19-year-olds this past season, finishing the year with a total of 12 2005-born skaters. Generals Snag Narrow Victory In Game One Of The OHL Final Last night, the Oshawa Generals snapped London's 17-game postseason winning streak by claiming a narrow 4-2 victory in game one of the OHL Championship. The team will only be allowed to keep four 2005-born players on its roster next year and can only play three in any game. St. Louis Blues prospect and team captain Charlie Burns, Buffalo Sabres prospect Ethan Miedema and Pittsburgh Penguins prospect Emil Pieniniemi are just three of the notable 2005-born players on the roster. Kingston could easily be in a rebuilding position next season, given the abundance of overage players they will need to remove from the roster this offseason. That will give lots of opportunities to players like Kuzma.

Ethan Hay Commits To Miami
Kingston Frontenacs forward Ethan Hay has committed to Miami, it was announced on Wednesday. A native of Waterloo, ON, Hay scored 13 goals and recorded 18 assists in 62 regular season games between the Frontenacs and the Saginaw Spirit this past season. Hay was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the seventh round, 211th overall, in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. A 2005-born skater, Hay will make the jump and join the RedHawks for the 2025-26 season and provide depth to Miami's forward group.
