Housebuilder releases new homes for sale at East Calder development
Taylor Wimpey East Scotland has released its first new homes for sale at its final development in Calderwood, East Calder. This significant milestone follows the approval of planning permission from West Lothian Council for 112 new homes earlier this year. It also marks the culmination of the housebuilder's decade-long commitment to the Calderwood masterplan. This latest development by Taylor Wimpey at Calderwood is located off Sandilands Road. It follows five previous developments that have delivered 436 new homes, including affordable homes, which have proven very popular with homebuyers looking to call West Lothian home. The latest development will feature an impressive selection of two, three, four, and five-bedroom homes designed to cater to a wide range of buyers. Prices in the first release to go on sale range from £346,000 for the Douglas four-bedroom detached to £462,000 for the Wallace five-bedroom detached. In addition to providing high-quality housing and 16 affordable homes, the development will contribute £5 million towards local education facilities as per the Section 75 legal agreement requirements with West Lothian Council. Calderwood's excellent transport links and growing amenities continue to make it a popular choice for homebuyers. To celebrate the launch of its final development of new homes in Calderwood and to mark its 10th anniversary of working and supporting the community of East Calder, the housebuilder has committed to helping 10 local organisations or charities over the estimated three-year period the development will take to build and complete. Kirsty McGill, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, said: 'In what is our 10th anniversary year of selling new homes in Calderwood, we are delighted to have launched the first of our new homes for sale in our final development in this popular West Lothian development. 'This marks our sixth and final phase of new homes in this area, and it is rewarding to see the masterplan come to life after 10 years of work. 'Our teams are as dedicated as ever to delivering an impressive choice of new homes for prospective buyers in East Calder. 'We're equally pleased to announce that we have committed to supporting ten local charities or community groups over the next three years. 'We are proud to support the communities where we build, and it is very important to us that we have the chance to show our support for community groups and organisations within their immediate local areas. 'Our Calderwood Community Promise allows us to reach out directly to members of the local community development in East Calder and the surrounding area. We will share more details about this project in the next few weeks.'
