Lansford man identified as fatal crash victim in McAdoo
A Lansford man died and another man was seriously injured in a head-on collision Saturday on Route 309 in Kline Twp.
State police at Frackville identified the deceased as Thairen Finley, 51. He was pronounced dead on scene at Mile Hill Road, a mile south of the Interstate 81 ramp.
The 4:02 p.m. crash happened as Lucas Forker, 46, of Trescow, was driving a Dodge Ram pickup south on Route 309, and Finley was driving a Chevrolet Equinox north, merging onto the I-81 ramp, police said.
For unknown reasons, Forker crossed the median into the northbound lanes and struck Finley's vehicle, police said. Forker was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest-Allentown with serious injuries.
Multiple fire, emergency medical services and McAdoo police units responded to the scene.
