KKR's Rinku Singh Reveals His Fitness Secrets: 'Mujhe Bohot Maza Aata Hai...'
Last Updated: The ferocious Knight Riders powerhitter shared an in-depth account of how intense workouts and food choices help him keep fit. Rinku Singh provided an in-depth account of fitness and diet routines that continue to play a great role in his inspiring journey. The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) match-winner shared fitness rituals he religiously follows before and after the game to maintain his tremendous ball-striking ability despite a lean physique. Speaking on KKR's 'Train Like a Knight', the 27-year-old said gym and food are two most critical parts of his daily routine. 'Nothing, mostly I pay attention to my food and this time, like now, cricket is (mostly) T20, so staying fit is very necessary. Cricket has become so fast that you have to take care of everything. Gym, running, and also food," Rinku said during the interaction. 'Right now, I've started dieting. It's been 15-20 days. Because after a certain age, you have to do it, although I'm still only 27 (laughs)." Episode 6 of Amul Protein presents Train Like a Knight is here, featuring Rinku Singh 🏋️♀️From high-intensity workouts to clean eating, Rinku shares the fitness rituals that power his game. Get an inside look at his daily routine, favourite exercises, and what fuels his… — KolkataKnightRiders (@KKRiders) May 16, 2025 Rinku said he originally possessed a fit and lean body, but it was only when he began playing professional cricket that he learnt how to maintain certain physical standards on and off the field. The swashbuckling left-hander also said he didn't do any specific exercises growing up, which has changed now that he trains regularly. 'Now I am fond of fitness, I like keeping fit, going to the gym and following my daily routine. I find great joy in working out. When I started playing U-19 cricket, I started gym. When I played U-16 cricket, I had no idea about the gym and only knew running. So when I played U-19s and senior cricket, I got a fair idea about the gym and why staying fit and strengthening the muscles is key," said Rinku, who pressed on the benefits of gymming for his strong core, muscles, and stamina in play during his batting. Rinku also talked about his food choices and how working with professional nutritionists has opened his eyes to green veggies from a chicken-based diet initially. The cricketer admitted feeling great changes inside him ever since shifting to a carefully planned diet. 'I don't feel any tightness or soreness in my muscles," he said while revealing he starts his day with warm water and eats eggs, poha and dosa for breakfast. Rinku advised youngsters to eat well but also burn everything in their routines and named squats as his favourite gym exercise. The ferocious hitter has played 12 matches of KKR's IPL 2025 campaign with a strike rate of 153.91. First Published:

RCB vs KKR match today: Who'll win? Predictions, fantasy team; can Bengaluru continue the momentum as IPL 2025 resumes?
Royal Challenger Bengaluru will clash with Kolkata Knight Riders today (May 17) as IPL 2025 resumes after a break. The 58th match of this season will take place at the Stadium in Bengaluru. It will start at 7:30 PM. RCB, led by Rajat Patidar, are at number 2, with 8 wins in 11 matches. This will be Virat Kohli's first appearance in a cricket match since his Test retirement. The Knight Riders, captained by Ajinkya Rahane, are at number 6 on the points table. If RCB win this match, they'll reclaim the number 1 position ahead of GT. It is still mathematically possible for KKR to qualify to the playoffs. It's a must-win for them to stay alive in the tournament. RCB and KKR have played 35 IPL matches against each other so far. Bengaluru have won 15 and Kolkata 20. These two teams have already played against each other this season; it was the opening match of the season. RCB won the match by 7 wickets. However, here is a spectacular trivia. The last time RCB beat KKR at Chinnaswamy in 2015. Kohli's boys won the low-scoring match by 7 wickets. KKR have an extraordinary record at the Chinnaswamy. They have won 10 out of the 15 games played here. Let's see what AI is predicting about today's RCB vs KKR match in IPL 2025. 'RCB won their season opener against KKR by 7 wickets. However, the Knight Riders have dominated them at home. The last time RCB defeated KKR at Chinnaswamy was way back in 2015. With Virat Kohli back and stakes high, expect a cracking contest,' says ChatGPT. According to Google Gemini, Royal Challengers Bengaluru's superior current form, their home advantage, and their win against KKR earlier this season give them a significant edge. 'While KKR's desperation for a win and their overall head-to-head record cannot be entirely dismissed, RCB's strong momentum makes them the favourites,' says the AI tool. According to Grok, RCB hold the edge due to their current form, home advantage and Kohli's hunger to make a statement post-Test retirement. 'Their batting depth and recent momentum (8 wins in 11) outweigh KKR's bowling strengths. KKR's playoff hopes rely on Narine and Russell stepping up. However, the scales tip toward RCB,' it adds. Batters: Virat Kohli (C), Rajat Patidar, Rinku Singh, Venkatesh Iyer All-rounders: Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, Romario Shepherd Bowlers: Yash Dayal (VC), Varun Chakravarthy, Lungi Ngidi Wicketkeeper: Rahmanullah Gurbaz CricTracker favours RCB to win the match non matter if they bat first or bowl. Google Match Prediction says RCB have a 54% chance of winning tonight. We expect RCB to continue their form, go on top of the table once again and become the first team to qualify for the playoffs. IPL-style cricket league organised for inmates at Mathura jail
In keeping with the IPL theme, the teams were named Knight Riders, Capitals, Super Giants, Super Kings, Indians, Royal Challengers, Titans, and Royals, jail superintendent Anshuman Garg said. Divided into eight teams, 130 inmates, including convicts and undertrials, participated in the tournament. Mathura (UP), May 15 (PTI) In an initiative aimed at rehabilitation through sports, the Mathura district jail in Uttar Pradesh hosted an IPL-style cricket tournament for inmates titled 'Champions Cricket League' over a month-long schedule. In the final played on Wednesday, the Knight Riders beat Capitals to clinch the title. 'This was the first time that an elaborate sporting event was organised inside Mathura jail. The idea was to promote a positive mindset among the inmates and steer them away from negativity,' Garg said. Several sporting activities such as cricket, volleyball, badminton and table tennis have been introduced in the prison for the inmates, he added. The Mathura Refinery unit of Indian Oil Corporation supported the initiative through its CSR funding by constructing dedicated arenas for these activities and by providing cricket kits.
