Driving with J9: Why every South African petrolhead should attend the Knysna Hillclimb
The Knysna Hillclimb has grown from humble beginnings to become one of the most significant motorsport events on the local calendar. In its 15th year in 2025, it will be one of the biggest, with an expected crowd of 20 000 spectators across the weekend.
Ian Shrosbree is one of the masterminds behind the event, which became petrolhead nirvana. He speaks to News24 Motoring editor Janine van der Post about pulling off such a mammoth occasion.
Thousands of car enthusiasts will be making their way to Knysna in the first week of May for the next instalment of the popular three-day Hillclimb event from 2-4 May, starting with Classic Car Friday.
