A Tribute To Over 40 Years Of Music: What To Expect At Amy Search's First Solo Concert This Saturday

Legendary is the only word suitable to describe Malaysian rock icon Datuk Amy Search. To celebrate his over 40-year journey in the music industry, he's staging his first-ever solo concert this weekend at Axiata Arena! The 'Amy Search Magic Konsert Solo Pertama' event is happening at Axiata Arena on 26th April 2025 (Saturday). This show marks the first time Datuk Amy has held a solo concert since his debut in 1975. Given the significance of this event, it's no surprise that the rock legend has prepared an unforgettable night for fans. According to the 67-year-old, the concert will last more than two hours and showcase another side of him. At the same time, the singer, whose real name is Suhaimi Abdul Rahman, said longtime fans can enjoy a more intimate personal performance. Datuk Amy even calls it 'a tribute to all fans who have supported my artistic journey from the beginning'. He also hopes that the show will give fans the chance to feel every emotion he's experienced in his decades-long career, promising to deliver his 'soul' with every song. While the rockstar kept mum on the setlist, he will perform over 20 songs from his and Search's discographies. Fans can definitely expect to sing along to iconic hits like 'Isabella', 'Fantasia Bulan Madu' and 'Saat Ku Idamkan'. Renowned concert director Jennifer Thompson lends her magic to this concert, and Japanese composer Rie Tsuji will take on the role of music director. Rie has also made fresh arrangements for all the songs on the setlist, ensuring a new musical experience for fans. Of course, some of the best anecdotes come out during concerts, so fans can expect to hear interesting stories from Datuk Amy. At the same time, the crowd can embody the rockstar with the 'Rock It Like Amy' dress code – which means thick eyeliners, leather jackets and rock spirit are encouraged.
