Built at a cost of Rs 6.25 crore on a 1.25 acre plot, the facility is equipped with modern amenities designed to improve accessibility, efficiency, and public service delivery. Soon after entering the new building, on the right-hand side, there is a statue of BR Ambedkar.
Strategically located just a few meters from the CM's residence, this new office replaces the former rented premises with enhanced infrastructure, including lift, ramp, drinking water facilities.
A notable addition is the Koosina Mane (
child care centre
), a first-of-its-kind feature among zonal offices, offering a safe and comfortable space for children accompanying women seeking civic services such as birth certificates. The building also includes a dedicated feeding room, underscoring MCC's commitment to inclusivity and citizen comfort.
Speaking at the inauguration, MLA GT Devegowda highlighted the collaborative efforts that brought the project to fruition.
"This project was initiated during the tenure of Lakshmikanth Reddy as corporation commissioner and Sathyamurthy as development officer, alongside myself," he said. "Our aim was to bring all corporation-related services under one roof, making it more convenient for the public to access a wide range of services in a single location. The new building has come up very well. We hope people will now receive efficient and quality service from the staff."

A 60-seater conference hall is also there for administrative meetings and public interactions. With the capacity to accommodate 150 staff members, the Zone 3 office is expected to significantly enhance administrative efficiency and improve service delivery.
