Priceville police charge 18-year-old with felony attempt to elude
Jun. 9—A Cullman man was charged Saturday after a high-speed chase beginning near Somerville ended when the suspect crashed in Cullman County, according to Priceville police and the Morgan County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's deputies and Priceville police attempted a vehicle stop on a 2016 silver Audi near Somerville. The vehicle had been reported stolen and was linked to an armed robbery in Moulton, according to Priceville police.
After being signaled to stop, the vehicle fled west on Alabama 36, then south on Interstate 65, entering Cullman County. It left the roadway and crashed at exit 310, Priceville police said.
Korbin Malachi Posey, 18, of Cullman, was apprehended in Cullman County by Priceville police. Posey said he might be injured, so he was transported to Decatur Morgan Hospital for medical clearance before before being booked into the Morgan County Jail, Priceville police said.
Posey faces charges of felony attempting to elude law enforcement, DUI and reckless endangerment, police said. A Morgan County Circuit judge set his bond at $310,000,00, with an additional hold placed by the Moulton Police Department.
