Liverpool looking to seal deal for £45m-rated Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth
Liverpool are attempting to finalise a deal to sign Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth with the south-coast club demanding £45m for the Hungary international. Arne Slot has made Kerkez his first-choice target for strengthening at left-back and Liverpool are increasingly confident of completing a deal, though Bournemouth are holding out for their full valuation of the 21-year-old. Kerkez, who can also operate as a left wing-back, is keen on a move to Merseyside and Liverpool's position is strengthened by Richard Hughes' involvement in negotiations. The Liverpool sporting director was technical director at Bournemouth when Kerkez was signed from AZ Alkmaar in 2023 and is leading talks with his former club. Liverpool have already signed one full-back/wing-back this summer with the £29.5m transfer of Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen and want to improve their options on the opposite flank. The arrival of Kerkez could lead to the exit of Kostas Tsimikas, who has provided back-up to Andy Robertson throughout his five years on Merseyside. Bournemouth are facing an exodus of defensive talent this summer with Real Madrid activating Dean Huijsen's £50m release clause and his fellow centre-back, Ilya Zabarnyi, a target for European champions Paris Saint-Germain. Richard Hughes to deliver Liverpool €35m transfer BOOST
At the back, we could see Kostas Tsimikas make way for a new left-back and there is significant uncertainty around a number of centre-backs too. Ibrahima Konate's contract is causing a problem - while Joe Gomez could also leave after a decade of loyal service. But perhaps the likeliest candidate to leave from the middle of defence this summer is Jarell Quansah. The 22-year-old started the season in Arne Slot's first-choice XI and was bolstered by a new contract. But things haven't gone to plan for the homegrown youngster since then. Without a place in Slot's preferred team, Richard Hughes could now opt to sacrifice Quansah to free up money for other signings. And according to Caught Offside, the England squad member is attracting significant attention from around the Premier League and Bundesliga. Moreover, it's now claimed that Quansah is ready to consider an exit from his boyhood club - having failed to capitalise on his breakthrough year under Jurgen Klopp. 'Nottingham Forest, Borussia Dortmund, and Bayer Leverkusen, in particular, are actively involved in the transfer process,' the report reads. 'Liverpool have struggled to provide Quansah with sufficient playing time due to their strong defensive lineup, which includes Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konaté, and Joe Gomez. 'As a result, the young defender's desire to leave has grown. The club is planning to sell Quansah for approximately €30-35 million to generate funds for new signings. 'Newcastle United, Brentford, AFC Bournemouth, and Everton have also emerged as potential destinations.'

Liverpool target Milos Kerkez drops transfer hint after final game of season
Liverpool transfer target Milos Kerkez said he "doesn't know what will happen in the next week" after Bournemouth's final game of the Premier League season. The Hungarian has been one of the best left-backs in England over the course of the campaign, starting in each of the Cherries' 38 games. He has been linked with a move to Anfield for several months, and reports last week suggested talks had taken place between Liverpool and Kerkez over a possible transfer. The 21-year-old did nothing to quell that speculation as he wrote on Instagram: "38 games, 38 started, we finished the job and broke the record. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Milos Kerkez (@miloskerkezofficial) Andy Robertson endured a difficult season on an individual level, and Kostas Tsimikas could leave Liverpool this summer to make way for a new left-back addition. Bournemouth signed a new left-back, Julio Soler, 20, from the Argentinian team Lanus during the January transfer window. While he was not signed as a direct replacement for Kerkez, Soler's arrival would no doubt smooth over any possible exit for the Liverpool target. Kerkez left the door more than slightly ajar for a departure from Bournemouth earlier this season. In an interview with The Athletic, he was asked whether he sees the next step in his career as being a "return to one of Europe's elite clubs". Kerkez, who was previously on AC Milan's books, responded: 'As a kid, you dream to play at the highest level, win the trophies, be on the best teams. 'These are the things that my agent is on. My dad is on. When someone comes (in for you) you never know what's going to happen or where you're going to end up. In the summer, we will see what happens.' In other transfer news, Liverpool is also closing in on a deal to sign Jeremie Frimpong from Leverkusen after the Netherlands international successfully underwent his medical last week, while the Reds are also firm favorites to sing Florian Wirtz after appearing to edge out Bayern Munich in the battle to sign the Germany international.

Liverpool's stars take their foot off the gas: Kostas Tsimikas picks up order at a Chinese restaurant, just 24 hours before they play Brighton, after a week of party in Dubai, Ibiza and at home!
The Premier League season may not be over yet but that has not stopped Liverpool 's title celebrations from starting or continuing. The Reds were crowned champions just over three weeks ago after a thumping 5-1 win over Tottenham at Anfield confirmed their triumph. Arne Slot 's side have failed to win either Premier League match since that heady day - losing 3-1 at Chelsea on May 4, before drawing 2-2 with Arsenal on May 11. It is not uncommon for teams to take their foot off the pedal after a momentous occasion, and that has applied to Liverpool - who have blown off some well-earned steam since beating Spurs. And the latest instance of that was captured on camera on Sunday as left back Kostas Tsimikas enjoyed a Chinese food order just 24 hours before their trip to Brighton. Uploaded on TikTok, Tsimikas is filmed paying and collecting a Chinese food order reportedly from Peacock Inn Chinese Restaurant in Ormskirk, Lancashire. @ Tsimikas in Chinese😂 ♬ original sound - Snappy Printing 🐢 The Liverpool defender was videoed by Everton supporters, who were enjoying a meal themselves, and they duly gave the Greek some light-hearted stick. Belting out a rendition of their 1984 song Spirit of the Blues by Kinsley Music, the Toffees fanbase's exchange with Tsimikas sees him raise a wry smirk before leaving the restaurant. His food of choice may raise some eyebrows among those connected with Liverpool, with the champions playing at Brighton on Monday night. It's the latest act of celebratory indulgence from Slot's squad after some high-profile celebrations already. After the 2-2 draw with Arsenal, many of the Reds squad travelled to Dubai. One video circulating on social media showed several members of the first team strolling around the lavish Atlantis The Royal hotel last Tuesday. Their temporary abode boasts of being 'the most ultra-luxury experiential resort in the world' and it's eye-watering prices would certainly bolster this claim. The ninth-best hotel in the world, according to will set you back £6,996 for a 'Skyscape Penthouse' at short notice. The 196 square-foot split-level penthouse includes a massive terrace with an infinity pool, jacuzzi and views of the Arabian Sea. More expensive rooms are available, such as the £25,092 'Panoramic Penthouse', but for those in search of the 'budget' option, look no further than the modest 'Royal Club King' - which comes in at 'just' £840-per-night. The Reds stars have also been seen taking in the glorious views on the high seas, with social media videos showing the group enjoying life on a massive yacht The Reds stars were also been seen taking in the glorious views on the high seas, with social media videos showing the group enjoying life on a massive yacht. In the footage, the likes of Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk, goalkeeper Alisson Becker as well as Tsimikas, Joe Gomez and Diogo Jota can be seen feasting around a mammoth table with a panoply of delicacies. While the Reds roster are enjoying their time in Dubai, manager Slot has been seen living it up in Ibiza. Papped by the likes of Eastenders legend Dean Gaffney, Slot was welcomed to O Beach with Queen's 'We are the Champions' playing, while a group of women held up cards that read 'Champions!' After being patted on the back as he made his way to a DJ booth as a VIP, Slot put on the shades and appeared to think about trying his luck on the decks with the 1970s song continuing to play. Slot didn't appear eager to sing along, but was all smiles as he looked around and embraced with others involved at the party. Other social media footage saw Slot posing for photos, and the Reds boss being called into the DJ booth as a VIP as the women arrived with their 'Champions!' cards. At the end of the song, there was a loud cheer as 'Freed From Desire' began to play - a song Liverpool have often sung when they have won trophies in recent times. The club designed miniature cakes dedicated to the outgoing long-serving right-back Finally, as the chorus broke out, Slot took in the music and began to dance and sing. Since those celebrations abroad, the first-team players, staff and others came together at the weekend for Trent Alexander-Arnold's farewell party. Alexander-Arnold, who is expected to join Real Madrid on a free transfer, laid on a lavish personal summer festival with a band, flamethrowers, bars, and barbecue food at the club's AXA Training Centre. And the fun didn't stop there, with beach games, a kids' zone, fairies on stilts, crazy golf, and even cakes dedicated to him under the party's 'Summer of 66 (his shirt No)' theme.

Liverpool makes its move for Milos Kerkez as FSG not messing around in transfer market
Liverpool has reportedly made its move for Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez as Arne Slot looks to get business done early in the transfer market. The Premier League champions are closing in on the acquisition of Bayer Leverkusen's Jeremie Frimpong, who underwent the first part of his medical on Sunday. It's expected the young right-sided player will sign in the coming days and become the first signing of the summer. But Liverpool isn't done there, and is set to step up its move for a left-back imminently. According to transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool has approached Bournemouth over a move for Kerkez, who has hinted at a move in the last few days. READ MORE: Kevin De Bruyne addresses his future after Mohamed Salah sends Liverpool transfer plea READ MORE: Inside Trent Alexander-Arnold's leaving party at training ground with band, cakes and circus acts Kerkez has long been considered Liverpool's top target ahead of the summer transfer window, with Slot eager to upgrade Andy Robertson. Greek star Kostas Tsimikas appears set to depart Anfield, having failed to really crack through into the first team since his arrival in 2020. Should Kerkez arrive, Tsimikas would essentially become third-choice left-back, and it's been reported newly-promoted Leeds United is interested. For his part, Kerkez is reportedly eager to make the move to Anfield, having inadvertently flirted with Reds fans throughout the season after posing with Dominic Szoboszlai on multiple occasions. He also 'liked' a post on social media linking him with a move to Anfield, as a move now appears to be the worst-kept secret in the transfer window. Personal terms aren't said to be an issue, with the clubs now left to negotiate the transfer fee. Liverpool is expected to spend big this summer, and is set to spend $39.8 million on Frimpong in the coming days. It's been reported that Bournemouth wants $60 million for Kerkez, who has enjoyed a breakout year on the south coast. Reds boss Slot has been relatively quiet when asked about transfers, and insisted he won't name any specific players until deals are done. "So, for the whole season, it was about the contracts of three players and now we are arriving in a time where everybody wants to know which players we are going to bring in! "The answer is going to be the same. We don't talk about the players we want to bring in in public until the moment they have signed for us, and then you can ask me everything about them." says: It's great that Liverpool is getting its business done early. After the last Premier League title win back in 2020, many feel the Reds failed to adequately strengthen, with Thiago Alcantara arguably the only upgrade to the team. Signing Frimpong and Kerkez is a huge statement of intent for Slot, who is quietly building a team capable of defending the Premier League title next year.
