Exclusive - Dipshikkha Naggpal visits Jim Corbett, Rishikesh, says the trip was all about adventure, relaxation, and unplugging from daily chaos

All she needs is a few days, and actress Dipshikkha Naggpal is off on another exciting and adventurous holiday. This time, she chose Jim Corbett and says that she had an amazing time there. The actress, who has been part of films such as Koyla, Baadshah, Dillagi and Partner, and shows such as Son Pari, Santoshi Maa, Phir Laut Aayi Naagin, and the current Ishq Jabariya , says that while she loves her work, she longs for such breaks. 'The minute I got to know my track got over in Ishq Jabariya, the very next day I left. My friend Rishina, who's a wildlife photographer, always told me, 'Come to the jungle,' and I'd say, 'I can't leave the shoot.' As soon as my shoot ended and she was headed to Jim Corbett, I said, 'I'm joining you.' I also wanted to visit Rishikesh , so we planned both,' she says. She adds, 'I've been to Masai Mara—that's the best safari I've done—but I still want to explore. I'm very experienced in nature, very spiritual, and I believe nature heals you. Getting up at 4 a.m., going for a safari, staying quiet, listening to birds chirping—it's beautiful. We did four safaris; I went for three and saw a tiger.' It was her first Indian safari, she says, adding, 'After that, I went to Rishikesh. I did river rafting , jumped in the middle of the Ganga—I'm not a great swimmer, but I wanted to overcome my fear. I also attended the Ganga Aarti and went for meditation.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Where Rajasthani Heritage Meets Chennai's Heart The Royal Chtiran Contact Us Undo This holiday was very special for the actress. 'The trip was all about adventure, relaxation, and unplugging from the daily chaos. I was getting massages and disconnecting from routine stress. Everybody should do it—I do it regularly, and that's why I am who I am today.' Travelling to Rishikesh was a surreal experience, she says. 'When I was in Rishikesh, my window faced the Ganga River. It was peaceful, overwhelming—tears welled up. It rained the next day, the weather was unpredictable. I went downstairs and began painting. I used to paint in school and college—Umar Khayyam, crochet work, crafts—it was therapy back then, even if we didn't call it that.' Meanwhile, she says that such trips help her to rejuvenate herself. 'The break inspires me. I don't think I can ever retire—I'm not in a government job. These breaks recharge me. I disconnect, go to a different space, reflect on what I want, what I need—I just heal. It's very 'me time' and very important. It relaxes me, and I return to work with more energy. I always give 200%, but these breaks help. We don't have a 9–5 job or weekends off. Sometimes there's a shoot, sometimes not—so we have to make the most of the time we get.' Deepshikha Nagpal reveals about her pandemic mom

Madhuri Dixit once refused to agree THIS director's demand, got fired from the film, later Amitabh Bachchan told director to not..., he then..., the film was... In a career spanning over four decades, Madhuri Dixit remained one of the most celebrated Bollywood actresses. With remarkable performances in films like Dil, Khal Nayak, Koyla, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Devdas, Dil To Pagal Hai, she carved a special place in audiences hearts. Apart from acting chops, she is also admired for her terrific dancing skills. From songs like Ek do teen to Didi tera dewar deewana , she stole many hearts with her spectacular moves. Despite being one of the highest-paid actresses of her time, Madhuri's journey to stardom wasn't any easy one. In 90s, she faced an unpleasant incident that occurred on the sets of Shanakht . She almost lost out a role for refusing to shoot a scene in bra. Actor and filmmaker Tinnu Anand became angry when he heard her saying no and felt that she could have expressed her discomfort before signing the film and not on the day of shoot. In a conversation with Radio Nasha, Tinnu Anand revealed, 'I narrated the entire sequence to Madhuri and I told her that you have to remove your blouse and for the first time, we should see you in your bra. And I am not going to hide anything behind a haystack or anything. Because you are offering yourself to help a man who is trying to help you. So it is a very important situation and I want to shoot it on the first day. She said okay.' 'I said you can design your bra, whatever you want. You don't have to wear a bra bra but you can design your own bra, I don't mind. But it has to be a bra because you are opening your blouse, offering yourself,' Anand added. On the day of shoot, Madhuri backed out, leaving Tinnu furious. When asked what happened, she stated, ' I don't want to do this particular scene.' I said, 'I'm sorry, you have to do this scene.' She said, 'No, I don't want to.' I said, 'Okay, pack up, say good bye to the film. I'll cancel my shoot.' Amitabh Bachchan, who was playing lead role in the film, intervened to play the role of a peacemaker as Madhuri was asked to pack her bags and leave. In Tinnu's words, Big B said, 'Let it be, why are you arguing with her? If she has an objection ' I said, 'If she had to object, she should have done it earlier, before signing the film. Later, Madhuri came on board and her secretary requested Tinnu to reconsider, as she agreed to do the sequence.

Some of them did recognise me, when I would go grocery shopping. Sometimes, you meet another Indian when you're picking up tamatar and gobi. They were so courteous and so nice, they'd just tell me that they love my movies. They'd respect the fact that it was my private moment and that I should be left alone. But sometimes, it would get scary for me, because I'd just started driving there. I would struggle to find addresses, because I'd never done that in India. Here, a driver would just take me where I wanted to go, but there, I had to find my own way. Those were the times when I'd hope someone recognises me and tells me that I'm going the wrong way.' She had revealed how her sons felt weird on seeing her get high on drugs in the song 'Bhang Ke Nashe Mein' from 'Koyla'. She recalled, "My kids get a little skittish when they're watching my movies. Dr Nene added further in the same interview that they 'dont talk shop' which means that Madhuri wouldn't bring home her stardom. He added, "All of her awards and stuff were kept at the office. She doesn't want the kids, or us, to be affected. I've been to some of her film premieres, but she's not very comfortable watching her films with family. Madhuri Dixit's sons were weirded out after watching her get high on drugs in a movie, Dr Nene confessed she isn't ‘comfortable' letting family watch her films

Actor Madhuri Dixit left her fans shocked when she backed away from the film industry at the peak of her career, after marrying Los Angeles-based cardiovascular surgeon Dr Sriram Nene in 1999. Madhuri would eventually return to Mumbai to restart her acting career, and Dr Nene would follow in 2011. Over the years, they've spoken about moving base, and the difficulties moves as massive as this presented. They also have two sons, Arin and Ryan, who are both in college now. In an old interview with NDTV, Madhuri admitted that she felt completely out of place when she first moved to the US. She said, 'Indians are everywhere. Some of them did recognise me, when I would go grocery shopping. Sometimes, you meet another Indian when you're picking up tamatar and gobi. Here, a driver would just take me where I wanted to go, but there, I had to find my own way. Those were the times when I'd hope someone recognises me and tells me that I'm going the wrong way.' In the same interview, Dr Nene said that although he knew his way around celebrities before getting married, he wasn't familiar with Madhuri's work. And because she's uncomfortable watching her films with the family, he didn't get much of an opportunity to catch up later either. Madhuri recounted a story of when one of her sons watched the song 'Bhang Ke Nashe Mein,' in which she gets 'high' on drugs. She said, 'My kids get a little skittish when they're watching my movies. They were watching Koyla on TV, and I left. When I returned, I saw a note on the computer. It said, 'Dear mom, why are you acting so weird in this movie?'' Dr Nene said that they have a rule where they don't 'talk shop' at home, which means that Madhuri wouldn't bring her stardom home. 'All of her awards and stuff were kept at the office. She doesn't want the kids, or us, to be affected. I've been to some of her film premieres, but she's not very comfortable watching her films with family. So, watching them separately is an odd thing,' he said.
