Texas A&M assistant coaches recently visits priority 2026 4-star OL
Texas A&M assistant coaches recently visits priority 2026 4-star OL Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko and his staff have made significant headway with one of the top offensive linemen in the 2026 class, as four-star offensive tackle Zaden Krempin included the Aggies as one of the final four programs he's considering heading into the summer, ahead of his official visit to College Station on June 5. Krempin is one of the rising prospects in the cycle. Due to his strength and athleticism, he possesses elite run-blocking traits. His 6'4", 275-pound frame shows a player dripping with potential in pass protection at one of the most critical positions in the game: left tackle. Since Mike Elko took over, Texas A&M has returned to recruiting for the Dallas-Fort Worth area, which was not the case under former head coach Jimbo Fisher. Currently, Krempin is considering Michigan, LSU, Texas, and Texas A&M and will officially visit each program over the next month. However, while SMU was not listed as one of his "final" schools, he will also take an OV to the Mustangs on June 7. Still, credit to Texas A&M O-line coach Adam Cushing and running back coach Trooper Taylor for making the trip to Prosper to visit Krempin, as evidenced by a recent photo. These in-person visits go a long way, especially when the competition continues to make gains, knowing that the Texas Longhorns have been highly successful in landing elite O-linemen, matching the Aggies in that regard as of late. According to 247Sports, Zaden Krempin is currently positioned as the 17th-ranked interior offensive lineman and the 38th-ranked prospect in Texas. Michigan football targets 4-star Texas OL Zaden Krempin in 2026 recruiting push
Michigan football might only have five commitments in the 2026 class thus far, but it's working hard on the recruiting trail. With a bevy of official visits slated to begin at the end of this month, the upcoming class is about to start heating up. The Wolverines got two commitments late last month in four-star quarterback Brady Smigiel and three-star edge rusher Tariq Boney. With the series of visitors set to arrive in Ann Arbor every weekend starting May 30, the question is: who's next? Michigan makes top group for coveted offensive lineman The Wolverines already have one offensive line commitment in 2026 in lifelong Alabama fan Bear McWhorter, the three-star interior offensive lineman, spurning the Crimson Tide for the maize and blue. But Michigan has been hot and heavy after another IOL. Advertisement 2026 Prosper (Tx.) four-star Zaden Krempin has long had the Wolverines at or near the top, and now it's official: Michigan football is in his top four, released on Friday. With Texas, Texas A&M, and LSU involved, it'll be tough sledding for the maize and blue to lure Krempin out of his footprint. SMU was thought to be a factor, but it appears as if the Mustangs are eliminated. Ratings and scouting report Krempin is a four-star across the board with Rivals being the highest on him at No. 176 overall. The On3 Industry Ranking has him listed as the No. 222 player, the 18th-best offensive lineman, and the 31st-ranked player in the state of Texas. Advertisement A track and field star as well, Krempin competes in both the shot put and the discus. He is slated to officially visit as last, on June 20, after he's seen his other finalists. Texas A&M continues to make headway with two priority 2026 prospects
Texas A&M continues to make headway with two priority 2026 prospects Texas A&M's 2026 recruiting class is looking to replicate the program's 2025 success in the trenches after landing six offensive line commits in the class, as this weekend's visitors list included two of the top blockers in the cycle, led by five-star OL/DL Lamar Brown and four-star Zaden Krempin. Texas A&M O-line coach Adam Cushing has consistently stood out as one of the program's top assistants based on his development and, now, recruiting prowess that led to flipping 2025 five-star offensive tackle Lamont Rogers, who is talented enough to see the field as soon as next season. Coach Mike Elko has prioritized every weekend this spring to make headway with several recruits. While Krempin is still a toss-up, this is Brown's second visit this month before his official campus visit on June 13. Right now, Brown is considered an offensive lineman by most programs. Still, due to his versatility and elite athleticism, he could easily play on the defensive line, which Elko likely favors. According to Rivals recruiting insider Landyn Rosow, Texas A&M has a good shot of landing Krempin in the coming months. At the same time, LSU is the most significant competitor for Brown heading into the summer. Either way, this is more proof that A&M's recruiting efforts have not dropped off under Elko and his impressive staff heading into the 2025 season.
