Event co-organiser Kris Gumbrell said he hopes this year the money raised will hit the 'magic' £100,000 mark after the 'incredibly successful' 2024. 'We changed the route last year to take in Westbourne and Southbourne, as well our usual destinations of Sandbanks and both piers, the ride was incredibly well supported,' said Kris. 'The streets were lined with spectators cheering on our immaculately dressed ladies and gents on their motorbikes.' He added: 'To take part you need to have a classic, retro or vintage style motorbike and of course dress 'dapper', and be ready to raise some money to support some important causes for men's health. 'This event is a huge spectacle and really showcases the Bournemouth and Poole area, and it's community at its very finest. 'Our route has been adapted to maximise our presence along more of our great high streets and share the experience for the many supporters who come out to cheer and applaud our riders every year.'

One of largest motorbike rides in the world to return to BCP
MOTORCYCLISTS will roar through Bournemouth and Poole next month as one of the world's biggest rides returns. Last year's Distinguished Gentleman's Bike Ride raised more than £94,000 for charity in what was the sixth biggest event worldwide. And this year's ride on Sunday, May 18 could break new records as it already has the largest number of registrations at just under 800 riders. This spectacular worldwide charity event is held each year on the same day, to support men's mental health and prostate cancer research charities. Bournemouth-based co-host and Brewhouse and Kitchen chief executive Kris Gumbrell said: 'We are already well ahead of last year and our ride is filling up quickly with riders, not just from our area but across the entire UK. 'We do cap our numbers at 1,000 bikes to ensure the safety and enjoyment of everyone taking part, and we fully offset the carbon footprint of the event.' Kris also said he hopes this year the money raised will hit the 'magic' £100,000 mark after the 'incredibly successful' 2024. 'We changed the route last year to take in Westbourne and Southbourne, as well our usual destinations of Sandbanks and both piers, the ride was incredibly well supported,' said Kris.
