Its quick sell-out indicates strong interest from buyers, particularly those drawn to off-road vehicles . Citroen introduces CNG retrofitment option for C3 hatchback

Citroen India has launched the CNG-ready Citroen C3 hatchback, introducing a cost-effective fuel option to the C3. The retrofit option is available across all authorised Citroen C3 CNG delivers a claimed fuel efficiency of up to 28.1 km/kg, with a running cost as low as Rs 2.66 per km. Customers can switch between petrol and CNG, addressing range concerns while offering greater CNG system is designed specifically for the C3 1.2 NA variants (Live, Feel, Feel(O), and Shine). The CNG nozzle is positioned within the petrol filler port for added convenience during refuelling. The company, in an official statement said that the CNG kit has been integrated without affecting the boot space, and the spare wheel remains easily accessible, preserving the vehicle's overall practicality. To ensure the C3's comfort remains intact, Citroen has introduced a suspension comfort kit, including specially tuned rear shock absorbers, reinforced springs, and an anti-roll bar. Citroen India has announced its entry into the CNG vehicle market with the C3 hatchback. The car will be available with a retrofitted CNG kit across the brand's dealerships via a certified retrofit program. The consumers can get it for an additional price of Rs 93,000 which brings the car's price to Rs 7.16 lakh. The automaker claims that this program is focused on consumers who wish to have lower running costs and reduced emissions. The French carmaker claims that the factory-tested CNG has been exclusively engineered for the Citroen C3's 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine. It offers a mileage of up to 28.1 km/kg and is claimed to have a running cost of Rs 2.66 per/km. The consumers who wish to have the CNG-powered version of the hatchback can get it with the Live, Feel, Feel(O), and Shine variants. To make the offer lucrative for consumers, Citroen is offering a comprehensive 3-year/100,000 km vehicle warranty and CNG Components. Under the new structure, Kumar Priyesh, Business Head & Director - Automotive Brands at Stellantis India, will be in charge of retail business, which includes sales and network development for the Jeep and Citroen brands as well as the soon-to-be-launched Leapmotor, the company said in a statement.
