Orlando Pirates to land blockbuster move amid North Africa interest

Orlando Pirates are set to land a blockbuster move as interest from North Africa looms. Chippa United star Sinoxolo Kwayiba plans to join the Soweto giants at the end of the season. With his soaring form now attracting international attention. Interest in the 25-year-old midfielder continues to grow. Also a source has revealed that a top flight Algerian club has started monitoring Kwayiba closely. However, a move to North Africa might be too soon. 'There is interest in (Sinoxolo) Kwayiba from Algeria,' a source confirmed. 'One of the clubs has made initial contact and has been monitoring him. But the reality is that the player is expected to join Orlando Pirates.' Kwayiba has delivered an outstanding campaign with the Chilli Boys, showcasing composure and versatility in central midfield. His breakout season has not only helped Chippa United remain competitive but has also propelled him into the national spotlight. The midfielder's impressive form earned him a well-deserved call-up to the Bafana Bafana squad. So far this season, Kwayiba has netted seven goals and supplied one assist across 28 appearances in all competitions. This marks a remarkable contribution from midfield. Chippa United head coach Thabo September has publicly supported Kwayiba's move. Acknowledging that the player's future lies beyond the Eastern Cape. 'If I want Sinoxolo to stay in the Eastern Cape, I would be selfish. I wouldn't want the best for the player,' said September, as per Kick Off . 'The best for him is to play for the big teams. The best for him is to play in CAF, the best for him and the national team is to be in those games. So, yes, I do want the best for him.' According to media reports from April, a club-to-club agreement has also already been reached. Paving the way for Kwayiba to don Orlando Pirates colours next season.
