Kyle & Jackie O star attacked with a hose in heated exchange after confronting the show's 'biggest hater': 'She's threatening me!'
A staff member from The Kyle & Jackie O show has been threatened by an angry listener after he tried to repossess a television gifted by Kyle Sandilands. Disgruntled listener Grace turned a garden hose on KIIS FM Thunderbird street team member Party Marty this week. The drama unfurled on Thursday when Jackie recounted Grace's less than impressed reaction to hearing the show. 'Basically we had this guy say that in his backyard with the tradies working, they love blasting the show,' she explained. 'But his next door neighbour Grace was always yelling over the fence: "I hate that show turn it off."' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Jackie went on to recall how the radio duo spoke to Grace to try and change her opinion of the popular Sydney breakfast show. To help smooth things over Kyle also gifted Grace a 60-inch television. 'Then we spoke to Grace and we loved her. She was hilarious and then she kind of came around and liked us,' Jackie added. Upon learning that Grace had since ditched the show, despite receiving the television, co-star Cooper Johns called her to try and get to the that root of her anger. Grace gave no quarter to Cooper, telling him: 'I'm sorry I've told your producers to stop calling me, I'm sick of it,' before unceremoniously hanging up the phone. Unperturbed, Cooper tried a second time only to be met with: 'How many times have I got to tell you not to contact me anymore I had enough.' He had better luck on a third attempt, with Grace explaining her distaste of the show. 'I decided that I was going to listen and I spoke to that Kyle and when he said he was suffering from a brain aneurysm I felt sorry for him. Then he offered me a TV, so I decided I was going to listen to the program and I did,' she said. 'I mustn't sound ungrateful I accepted the TV, but you know what I really cant stand it [the show].' She added she was particularly annoyed with Kyle 'talking over' guests and his penchant for talking about American politics. She also took umbrage with his judging role on Australian Idol, saying: 'He's judging on that show but in order to judge talent you have to have talent to recognise it. He can't sing.' Kyle then cut to Party Marty who was parked in a KIIS FM Thunderbird across the road from Grace's house. 'We've got Party Marty in her driveway from the KIIS FM Thunderbird to reclaim the TV,' Kyle explained. 'I'm going to ask her If you're no fan of ours and you're s*** canning us how about handing back the TV it's only right.' The plan was soon scuttled however, when Party Marty approached the front door. Upon identifying himself, a clearly angry Grace could be heard shouting: 'I don't want to be harassed.' The radio duo then instructed Marty to leave, with Kyle saying: 'You don't want the hose put on you. You don't want to upset the woman.' The scene escalated when Marty revealed that Grace was threatening him and turned the garden hose on him. Grace's reaction was met with approval from Jackie, who declared: 'It's great, isn't it? Solves so many problems, hosing someone.' Cooper added that Grace was good radio 'talent'. 'She's an excellent character,' he said.

Kyle & Jackie O star quits live on-air and announces shock new career move
The Kyle & Jackie O Show was rocked by shock news on Thursday morning as one beloved star quit live on-air. Studio producer Lachlan Mansell announced his resignation to hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson. 'Someone's leaving the show, officially resigned... It's Lachy, the Geek,' Kyle said, referring to Lachlan's stint as a contestant on Channel Nine's Beauty and the Geek in 2021. Lachlan went on to reveal his exciting new career move. 'My new title is Head of Motorsport for One Raceway, a motor racing circuit!' he explained. 'I'll be coordinating events and overseeing the media and PR for them.' Kyle and Jackie told Lachlan they were sad to see him go and wished him all the best. 'He is going to pursue his passion and you can't begrudge him for that,' Jackie said. It comes after Pedro Vitola quit the long-running KIIS FM breakfast show in August after seven years. Pedro joined the show in 2017 after winning a listener contest for the 'World's Best Job'. In 2020, he was promoted to senior producer before becoming executive producer in January 2023. He stepped down from the role at KIIS FM to focus on fatherhood after welcoming his newborn daughter Lucia with his wife Patty. 'It's been an amazing ride, and I'm so grateful to Kyle, Jackie, and the entire team for the opportunities I've had,' he said in a statement. 'As much as I love the show, my new role as a dad is my top priority, and I'm excited to spend more time with my family.' 'I'll always be a fan and can't wait to watch KJ smash Sydney and Melbourne!' 'Someone's leaving the show, officially resigned... It's Lachy, the Geek,' Kyle said, referring to Lachlan's stint as a contestant on Channel Nine's Beauty and the Geek in 2021 KIIS Content Director Tony Aldridge said: 'Pedro has brought incredible energy to the show, and while we'll miss his presence, we fully support his decision to focus on his family during this special time.' Pedro's departure came just one week after he and his wife announced the birth of their first child. The executive producer revealed live on-air that his wife Patty had given birth to a healthy girl. Co-hosts Kyle and Jackie O spoke to Pedro and Patty over the phone, as the new parents cared for their bub at the hospital. 'I'm gagging bro! I've never seen so much s**t in my life!' Pedro quipped, as he confirmed his beautiful partner had given birth.

Jackie O Henderson breaks down as she discusses her healing journey after admitting to secret drug and alcohol addiction: 'I never felt good enough'
Jackie 'O' Henderson tearfully broke down live on-air on Wednesday morning as she discussed her ongoing healing journey. The radio star, 50, was speaking to American self-help podcaster Gabby Bernstein about ways to improve your mindset when she made the tearful admission. 'I never felt good enough.... It takes a long time to do that. And then it all came up and it was like a bloody pressure cooker and everything came out. Sometimes I think we have core beliefs that we're not even aware of,' Jackie began. Gabby asked Jackie what it was she was insecure about and if she was looking to 'manifest' a romantic partner due to still being single at 50. Jackie responded with 'yep' and admitted her single status was something she felt insecure about, in addition to working hard to maintain her sobriety. 'I know it takes a long time to do that. You know, to heal. I feel like I've been working on it for two and a half years, constantly,' she said. Gabby told the veteran presenter that while the healing process was a 'lifetime journey', she could make a commitment to better living each and every day. Jackie previously shared her own personal story with addiction with listeners during The Kyle and Jackie O Show back in October. Fighting back tears, Jackie shared that she checked into rehab facility the Betty Ford Clinic in California in November 2022, when she took an extended break from The Kyle and Jackie O Show that she previously claimed was due to long Covid. Known for treating Hollywood stars including Keith Urban, Robert Downey Jr. and Lindsay Lohan, Betty Ford charges anywhere from $45,000 to $90,000 AUD for a month-long stay, depending on the program. Jackie revealed on-air that her long-time friend Gemma had been instrumental into getting her into rehab. She emotionally credited Gemma with saving her life by persuading her to check into the clinic. She recalled: 'It came to a head and [Gemma] was such a great friend. She said ''I'm sorry Jackie, but you're not going to taper off this, it will never work. I'm checking you into rehab at the end of the week... we're going''.' 'I said "don't be ridiculous, that is such overkill. I don't have a problem that bad that I need to go to Betty Ford".' 'And she said "no, we're going and we're doing it" and I thank God she did that,' Jackie admitted. 'Thank God there was someone out there like her. I believe she saved my life.' Jackie said they caught a night flight out of Australia and boarded at the 'last moment' to avoid being seen and then jetted over to LA, where Gemma stayed with her for two days before she checked into the clinic. She said Gemma accompanied her and helped her to get on the plane 'undetected' as she discussed keeping her addiction a secret for two 'long and painful years'. At the time, Kyle - who was unaware of Jackie's drug addiction - told their listeners Jackie was taking a break after contracting Covid. Instead, she was secretly flown out of Australia to be treated for 28 days at the world famous rehab facility for an addiction to painkillers, sleeping pills and alcohol. At the height of her addiction, Jackie took around 10-12 Stilnox/Zolpidem sleeping pills and 24 Panadeine Forte a day and would take them while drinking alcohol. Stilnox users are warned not to drink alcohol as it can slow the respiratory system and make it difficult to wake up. Jackie said Betty Ford told her not to change 'anything' about her usage before arriving as it could be 'dangerous' so she was still taking the pills the day she flew out to the US. She also said she went 'back and forth' deciding whether to share the news publicly before detailing the extent of her addiction in her memoir The Whole Truth. NRL player turned Kyle & Jackie O radio star Cooper Johns confesses he suffers from an irresistible urge to do something VERY illegal
NRL player turned radio star Cooper Johns has made the stunning confession that he has kleptomania, a mental health disorder characterised by an irresistible urge to steal. The 25-year-old son of Newcastle Knights legend Matty Johns - who played for Melbourne and Manly before starting his radio career with Kyle & Jackie O - opened up about his psychological condition on the Backstage with Cooper & Matty Johns podcast. 'He is a hoarder,' Matty told guest and former footy star Joel Caine. Cooper then explained that he has always had a problem culling stuff that he owns. 'It's pretty well documented [that I] used to steal a lot,' Cooper confessed. 'Massive klepto.' Johns (pictured playing for Manly) explained that he used to steal a lot in his younger days Matty recalled taking his son to the Triple M radio studios, where Cooper would steal from people. 'He stole ten bucks off Jamie Angel, the boss, once. Off his desk,' said Matty. Cooper then recalled the time he stole horny goat weed from another workmate. 'Remember that stuff?' said Cooper. 'I was like 12 and I just took it not knowing what it was. I didn't have any use for it at that time - I wish I had it now, I could put it to good use these days.' It's not the first time that Cooper has spoken about his condition, with the footy funnyman revealing in 2023 on the Kyle & Jackie O show just how much he'd steal from the building that houses Austereo, which airs the program. 'I used to bring an empty backpack up into Dad's work when I was younger,' he said. 'Why was it empty?' Kyle asked. 'Because I would steal stuff from the office, from people's desks and stuff,' Cooper responded. 'You little klepto,' a shocked Kyle said. Jackie O asked if Cooper had ever stolen from them personally. 'Yeah. I don't know if it was your desks or not,' Cooper said as they all laughed. 'I would steal a whole lot of stuff.' Johns quit the NRL at the start of 2024 following stints with the Melbourne Storm and Manly Sea Eagles dating back to 2020. The former five-eighth, who is the son of Rugby League legend Matty Johns and nephew of Andrew Johns, then joined The Kyle and Jackie O Show as a full-time radio producer.

Guy Sebastian reveals wild night he was pelted with stinky shoes in New York City: 'I kid you not!'
Guy Sebastian might be used to having adoration thrown at him on stage in Australia, but across the pond it's a different story. The multiple ARIA award-winning star, 43, recounted a very unusual gig in New York at the beginning of his post-Australian Idol career on The Kyle & Jackie O Show on Wednesday. He revealed that he had taken his wife Jules to a club in the Big Apple, where the couple were living at the time. He said that the club was hosting a 'jam night' and the Battle Scars hitmaker hit the stage to flaunt his talents. Guy also admitted that it was the first time the mum-of-two had heard the star in action, and the reaction he received from the audience was quite surprising. 'When I sing in America, it's such a different reaction,' he said. 'Jules, the first time she saw me sing, we were living in New York, and I went down to this place called The Village Underground. 'And it's where one night you'll have, like, half of Beyoncé's band. D'Angelo's band, Maxwell. All their bands just gather here and jam and it's like an open mic night.' Guy then admitted he was pelted with shoes by the audience, but not for the reasons many would think. 'I remember getting up and I sung like an Al Green song or something, and I started doing runs and they're looking at me wondering, "Who is this boy? Is he black? Is he Mexican? I don't know what he is, but that boy can sing,"' he said. 'I kid you not, ask Jules. It's a big compliment for them to throw their shoe at you and stuff. So, I'm getting shoes thrown at me.' Host Kyle Sandilands then pressed Guy on whether he had been lied to about the intentions of the airborne footwear. 'No, it's a compliment,' Guy confirmed. 'And then they start throwing $20 bills at the stage. So, I would do a big run, and they get it because they all grow up in church and so they know the difficulty of it. 'It's a big compliment for them to throw their shoe at you and stuff...' he said 'Whereas when I do it here people are like, that's lovely.' It was a compliment that Guy paid to one Voice contestant back in 2022. After 22-year old Samoan singer Celestial Utai wowed the panel with her rendition of Beyoncé's Deja Vu, both guy and fellow coach Jessica Mauboy threw their shoes onto the stage as a mark of respect of the show-stopping performance. Guy's admission comes after he recently announced a major shake-up of his management team. The Angels Brought Me Here singer revealed, last month, that he had parted ways with his long-time manager Jennifer Fontaine, in favour of his own in-house management team. Jennifer had guided Guy's career since his acrimonious split with former manager Titus Day back in 2017. Speaking to News Corp, the former Australian Idol star said the pair remain friends and that an internal management team was always on the agenda for Sebastian. 'The thing with Jen is she knew I always wanted to have my own internal team and I wanted to be at the table on everything. It wasn't such a huge shock,' Sebastian said. 'She was there at a pretty vulnerable time for me and however this rolls out, I wanted us to remain great friends afterwards.' It was also revealed that Lauren Stamper, who was previously Sebastian's day-to-day manager, would lead the revamped management team. Lauren has also previously worked alongside Fontaine at her agency Private Idaho. The singer's long-time tour manager George Said has also been retained in the fold at his Guytunes company, charged with booking live shows and tours. The publication also reported that while Sebastian will release his tenth studio album on Sony, there are plans in the works to establish a new label to mentor burgeoning artists.
