Tim Hortons plans to open 10 Maryland locations
HOWARD COUNTY, Md. () — Tim Hortons, Canada's largest restaurant chain known for its coffee and baked goods, is expanding into Maryland with 10 new locations, according to a real estate broker.
Founded in 1964 in Hamilton, Ontario, Tim Hortons now has more than 5,700 restaurants in 13 countries, with the United States, including one in Norfolk, Va.
Now, the fast-casual chain is looking to make its mark in Maryland, with ten locations planned for Carroll and Howard counties, according to Hyatt Commercial Brokerage.
The is representing Tim Hortons in the search for its sites, which will follow the chain's 1,600 square-foot standard layout and feature an indoor dining area.

'We're excited to bring Tim Hortons to the communities of Howard and Carroll Counties,' said Kyle Corman, senior real estate manager at Tim Hortons. 'Our Maryland expansion reflects a commitment to growing in markets where guests are looking for great coffee, convenient drive-thrus, and warm, welcoming spaces.'
Although no timeline has been unveiled for when the stores will open, customers can surely expect to experience Tim Horton's iconic Double-Double coffees, donuts and Timbits that have for years.
