Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 confirmed, Smriti Irani signs the contract to play Tulsi Virani again in Ekta Kapoor's show
Actress and politician Smriti Irani has been a celebrated name on Indian television, thanks to her iconic show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. The Ekta Kapoor-produced show, which ruled television 25 years ago, had a successful run from 2000 to 2008. Now, as the show completed 25 years, Ekta announced bring a new season to the audience. Ever since then, the buzz around Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Season 2 has only been getting stronger. As per the latest update on the show, Smriti Irani has signed the dotted line to play Tulsi Virani once again.

According to a report in Zoom, Smriti Irani has signed the contract for Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Season 2. The actress met with Ekta Kapoor on Sunday, 8th June, and this first the first time she officially signed anything for the show. Last week, a few media reports had suggested that Smriti Irani had already started shooting for the show with Z+ security. The reports had also claimed that Amar Upadhyay had begun shooting, however, his team had denied the reports.

Both Smriti and Amar were also recently spotted at Ekta Kapoor's house, they had reportedly gone there to celebrate her birthday. As per reports, makers are planning to have 150 episodes featured in this season, with chances that the Smriti Irani-led show might appear on an OTT platform. Many members from the original starcast are also expected to join the latest season of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
While a lot has been speculated, no official confirmations on the casting or the show's premiere have been made from Balaji Telefilms or Smriti Irani's team.
