The synopsis and preview images for Episode 41 of "The Apothecary Diaries" (Season 2 Episode 16), titled "The Fox Village," have been released!
Additionally, it has been announced that Natsumi Fujiwara will voice Kyō-u, a new character appearing in Episode 41!
The second season of "The Apothecary Diaries" is currently available to stream on Crunchyroll.
Episode 41: "The Fox Village"
Synopsis
Maomao suddenly disappeared from the inner palace. With no leads at the Jade Palace, Jinshi inquires about Maomao's recent activities at the medical office, only to realize that her cat, Mao Mao, is also missing. Overhearing Jinshi's conversation, Luomen suggests that finding the cat might provide clues to Maomao's whereabouts. He begins searching the inner palace, armed with the medicinal herbs Maomao had been handling just before her disappearance.
Meanwhile, Maomao and Shisui, who have been captured by Suirei, are being taken somewhere outside the inner palace. As Suirei's motives remain unclear, Maomao starts to piece together the puzzle and realizes something significant...
Natsumi Fujiwara Cast as Kyō-u, the Boy from the "Fox Village"
It has been announced that Natsumi Fujiwara will voice Kyō-u, a new character set to debut in episode 41. Kyō-u is a young boy whom Maomao encounters in the "Fox Village" after being captured by Suirei. Fans can look forward to seeing how this new character will influence the story moving forward!
About "The Apothecary Diaries" Season 2
Synopsis
When the emperor's high-ranking consort, Gyokuyō, discovered she was pregnant, Maomao returned to her role as the Jade Pavilion's poison-tester. She remained vigilant to ensure no further incidents would target the consort and the emperor's son.
A new consort, Loulan, whose father was an influential minister from the previous emperor's reign, entered the palace. An unprecedented unsolved case emerged, where the emperor's life was threatened, and the suspect, Suirei, disappeared.
As the unsettling atmosphere persisted, foreign traders and ambassadors with unreasonable demands also arrived. More dark clouds were beginning to gather over the court.
The new challenges facing Maomao and Jinshi will eventually escalate into a major incident involving the entire country----
