NY Giants Legend, 66, Shocks Everyone With Appearance After Past Struggles

NY Giants Legend, 66, Shocks Everyone With Appearance After Past Struggles originally appeared on Parade. Sixty-six-year-old Lawrence Taylor, best known as 'L.T.,' joins Eli Manning and Michael Strahan as one of the most iconic players to ever suit up for the New York Giants. Advertisement Taylor made a recent surprise appearance at the Giants' OTAs (Organized Team Activities), where he offered pearls of wisdom on teamwork to the current defensive squad. But it was his appearance following recent legal troubles last summer that had everyone talking. Before leaving the group, L.T. lamented no longer playing football, stating: 'I wish I could still play, but I'm too goddamned old, you know? I can't do it no more." Despite the comment, his presence at the Giants' training facility was anything but aged. Wearing black sweats and a gray-and-black sweatshirt, Taylor looked fit and healthy, even with a newly grayed beard. His appearance was a welcome sight for fans of the athlete, who also had a memorable role in Oliver Stone's Any Given Sunday. Taylor's past legal troubles and history with drug use have previously made him the subject of dramatic headlines. The former Giants star — widely regarded as the greatest defensive player of all time — told The New York Times in 2003 that "L.T. is dead." Despite Taylor's attempt to put his fast-living persona to rest, the former NFL star was arrested for failing to report his address, a requirement of past legal issues stemming from Lawrence's interaction with an underage prostitute. The case against Taylor was dismissed in July 2024. 🎬SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬 Advertisement NY Giants Legend, 66, Shocks Everyone With Appearance After Past Struggles first appeared on Parade on May 29, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on May 29, 2025, where it first appeared.
