Results from May 13 municipal elections in Hackensack, Lyndhurst, Passaic and Cedar Grove
Nonpartisan local elections took place on May 13, with only a handful of North Jersey municipalities participating.
Polls opened in Hackensack, Lyndhurst, Passaic and Cedar Grove at 6 a.m. and closed at 8 p.m.
In Bergen County, some residents cast their votes early, participating in an in-person mail-in ballot option held May 4 at the Bergen County Clerk's Office.
Here are the results from the May 13 election:
Two slates of candidates and one individual competed for five seats on the City Council for four-year terms. The winners will appoint a mayor.
The following were candidates for the "LABROSSE TEAM LOWER TAXES HONEST GOVERNMENT":

Two candidates ran for the Passaic mayor's office. Three candidates ran for three open seats on the council.

There were three four-year at-large terms up for election. In Cedar Grove, the full council will appoint a mayor and deputy mayor at the reorganization hearing in July. The three candidates who ran unopposed were:
