Furnish proof of address change for uniterrupted benefits: UT to ration card holders
Chandigarh: Ration card holders, who have shifted to a new residential address within Chandigarh, have been asked to mandatorily update the same in govt records.
To ensure uninterrupted access to benefits under various govt schemes, beneficiaries must furnish valid proof of their new residence within the UT.
Acceptable proofs include any document issued by a govt department or organisation under the Chandigarh administration or the Govt of India.
In addition, copies of Aadhaar cards for all family members must be submitted, clearly reflecting the current Chandigarh address.
Apart from the above, beneficiaries who were residents of colonies such as LC4, LBS, Pandit, Tin, Nehru, Sanjay Labour, Janta, etc., which have been demolished, have been asked to get their addresses in the ration cards updated on priority.
UT's food, supplies and consumer affairs department has asked the ration card holders to visit its office at the earliest to complete the address update process and avoid any disruption in services.
