Liverpool ready to spend £200m with first offer MADE
Liverpool are reportedly ready to spend an incredible amount of money. The first offer is in. Liverpool are set for one of the biggest summers in their history. There have been other special ones before, of course, with 2018 standing out as a game-changing one. Liverpool would win the UEFA Champions League the following season and then the Premier League. The difference here is that Liverpool are heading into a massive summer having already won the Premier League. They believe there's more to come from this group, however. Or at least, the core of this group. There will be plenty of outgoings this summer as Liverpool attempt to overhaul the squad in Arne Slot's image. The achievements this season, after all, came with Jurgen Klopp's squad. Things will be different going forward. Advertisement Liverpool aren't just making a token effort, either. They're going all out, emboldened by Slot's work to date. And that should see a gigantic spend. Liverpool to spend over £200m Reports suggest Liverpool are settled on the two full-backs they want: Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez. The former is a fairly straightforward one, too. Frimpong has reportedly completed a medical at Liverpool. All that's really left is the fee, which will be just shy of £30m thanks to a release clause in the player's contract. Kerkez is more complicated. Bournemouth want £45m for the player but Liverpool aren't sure about paying all of that. Perhaps they'd be happy to get there through milestones and bonuses but as a guaranteed figure? We're not sure. Still, Kerkez is the player they're after and the one they're trying to sign.

David Ornstein lists SEVEN title-winners who could leave Liverpool
Liverpool are plotting an overhaul in the summer transfer window. Arne Slot and Richard Hughes are not standing still despite achieving the Premier League title at the first time of asking. Plans are afoot to add a left-back, a centre-forward and, before all that, a replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold. That is expected to be Jeremie Frimpong, whose €35m transfer from Bayer Leverkusen looks a formality. FSG aren't prone to big outlays unless the club manage to recoup some money in sales. And there is no shortage of names linked to the exit door. The Athletic's transfer expert and NBC Sports analyst David Ornstein confirmed earlier this week the names of SEVEN Premier League title winners that could leave Anfield this summer. Ornstein names players to be SOLD "The likes of Darwin Nunez, Jarell Quansah, Harvey Elliott and possibly Caoimhin Kelleher as well in goal,' he tells NBC Sports. "And there's some uncertainly around the likes of Luis Diaz, of Ibrahima Konate going into the last 12 months of his contract, and Kostas Tsimikas." Advertisement Nunez, 25, is attracting plenty of interest from clubs including Atletico Madrid and Napoli. Quansah, meanwhile, is thought to be a target for up to six Premier League teams as well as sides in the Bundesliga. The Reds could also part ways with Elliott, who admitted following the defeat to Brighton on Monday that his future could lie elsewhere. With Giorgi Mamardashvili coming into the club once his Valencia loan deal expires, it means Kelleher dropping even further down the pecking order. Liverpool can add to summer funds through sales Aston Villa, Newcastle, Bournemouth, Chelsea and Tottenham have all been suggested as potential suitors. Diaz remains a target for Barcelona as well as all the big-hitters in the Saudi Pro League. Advertisement The club are known to be troubled by the situation regarding Konate, with Richard Hughes prepared to sanction a sale if no renewal is agreed this summer. And rounding off the potential exits is Tsimikas, now on the radar of Leeds United. There are even more players in the squad who may well be sweating about their futures - but if Liverpool manage to find buyers for that lot then they will add plenty of money to the coffers to fund summer spending.

Florian Wirtz confirms ‘tempting' feelings days before Liverpool trip
Florian Wirtz has now firmly emerged as a Liverpool transfer target. As reports confirmed, the German international had travelled to England earlier this week to meet with Reds officials. He's the kind of generational talent who can become one of the world's best in years to come. Having celebrated his 22nd birthday earlier this month, he already had close to 200 senior appearances under his belt for Bayer Leverkusen and has averaged a goal or assist 0.77 per 90 minutes. That production rate combined with the way Wirth can manipulate the ball and evade defenders makes him the perfect fit for any side in the world - but especially this Liverpool team who lack a nimble-footed creative force. Advertisement There are still so many obstacles for Liverpool to overcome if they want to complete a deal for the German. Among them is the fact that Bayern Munich are also pursuing a move for the attacking midfielder. Florian Wirtz on the temptations of moving abroad For any German player the appeal of moving to the country's biggest team is one difficult to compete against for the likes of Liverpool. Bayern Munich have a major pull in the country. They are a formidable force in the Bundesliga who have dominated the competition since their inception. Wirtz will undoubtedly feel tempted by moving to such a historic club where he is guaranteed to win titles. However, he may also look forward to a new challenge. Advertisement In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated Germany for their May edition, Wirtz confirmed he would consider a move abroad. "I'm quite lucky to have so many excellent clubs right on my doorstep and to now be able to play for one of the best clubs in Germany and Europe," Wirtz said. "I have big respect for the guys here in Leverkusen, who come from South America or Africa, for example, and leave their families and environment behind for their careers. "It's definitely tempting for me to leave my comfort zone at some point and experience something new. I know the football dressing rooms well enough and am convinced that I would quickly find my place anywhere." Advertisement It's the last two sentences that stand out for Liverpool here. From his comments here it's clear Wirtz would be open to the challenge of moving to Anfield if the opportunity presented itself. What's even more encouraging is that Wirtz didn't say this years ago. He said this in Sports Illustrated's most recent edition - so the interview was at best weeks ago.
