LOG Pharma Primary Packaging Ensures Maximum Confidence for Drug Manufacturers with Bottle and Closure Solutions
The company has acquired two additional injection machines and is already producing containers and closures for leading international pharmaceutical companies ASHDOT YA'ACOV ICHUD, Israel, April 8, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- LOG Pharma Primary Packaging, a leading global provider of innovative packaging solutions for the pharmaceutical industry, offers drug manufacturers a complete, integrated packaging solution. By producing both bottles and caps at the same facility, LOG is ensuring unmatched compatibility, reducing waste, and creating confidence in packaging Traditionally, pharmaceutical companies source drug bottles from one supplier and closures from another. This approach often leads to mismatched components, increased material waste, and unnecessary frustration. Seeking a streamlined solution, several pharmaceutical companies approached LOG to request a comprehensive packaging option where both bottles and closures are sourced from a single, trusted supplier. In response, LOG has expanded its capabilities to provide complete packaging solutions. Pharmaceutical manufacturers can now obtain bottles and perfectly fitting closures from a single production site, ensuring optimal compatibility and compliance with strict regulatory standards ISO 8317:2015 and US16 CFR 1700.20. "After being approached by several customers who were already purchasing our bottles and asking if we could also supply the closures, we decided to take the challenge and develop SP400 closures that completely fit our bottles," said Shaul Bassi, Chief Executive Officer of LOG Pharma Primary Packaging. "We made significant investments in state-of-the-art machinery to produce caps that precisely match our bottles, giving our customers the reliability and confidence they can address one company for both the bottle and the closure." As part of its strategic growth, LOG has invested in two state-of-the-art injection molding machines, with an annual production capacity exceeding 100 million closures. Additionally, the company is currently scaling up its assembly operations for child-resistant (CR) closures and liners to ensure efficient and high-quality production. Several leading international pharmaceutical companies are already benefiting from LOG's fully integrated packaging line, reinforcing the company's role as a trusted and innovative partner in the industry. About LOG Pharma Primary LOG Pharma Primary Packaging has been serving the global pharmaceutical industry for more than 50 years, offering a wide range of standard and customized packaging solutions. LOG Pharma streamlines supply chain for drug packaging
LOG Pharma Primary Packaging has announced a new integrated manufacturing process for pharmaceutical containers, aiming to address long-standing inefficiencies in how drug bottles and caps are sourced. The company, which operates production sites in Israel and Hungary, is now producing both bottles and caps at a single facility. This shift marks a significant change from the traditional method where pharmaceutical companies often purchase bottles and closures from separate suppliers — a practice that can result in compatibility issues and excess material waste. By manufacturing bottles and caps under one roof, LOG aims to ensure a more consistent fit between components. The change is expected to cut down on mismatches, simplify procurement for pharmaceutical firms, and help meet strict packaging standards, including ISO 8317:2015 for child-resistant packaging. LOG's move follows requests from several of its existing clients, who had previously sourced only bottles from the company. Responding to the demand, LOG invested in new injection moulding machinery to produce caps tailored precisely to its bottle designs. As part of the expansion, LOG has added two dedicated injection moulding machines to its operations. These machines can produce more than 100 million caps annually, significantly boosting the company's capacity to serve the pharmaceutical market. The company stated that this setup provides pharmaceutical manufacturers with a more reliable supply chain and greater assurance in the integrity of their packaging. One global pharmaceutical company is already making use of the integrated production model. LOG's new approach is intended to reduce the logistical complexity and risk of sourcing packaging components from multiple vendors. For an industry that demands strict adherence to regulatory and quality standards, the integrated solution could offer a more straightforward route to compliance and efficiency. With over 50 years of experience in pharmaceutical packaging, LOG continues to evolve its production methods to support the industry's growing needs, while aiming to improve sustainability and reduce waste throughout the packaging lifecycle.
