Stolen vehicle recovered in London; charges laid
The London Police Service has recovered a stolen vehicle and pressed charges over the weekend.
Just before 3 a.m. on Saturday, someone with the LPS Canine Unit saw a suspicious vehicle running in a parking lot near Rectory Street and Hamilton Road.
The officer discovered the vehicle was recently reported stolen. When emergency lights were put on, the suspect allegedly tried to drive away, hitting the front of the police cruiser several times.
The man then got out of the vehicle, running, according to a news release. He was found and arrested nearby.
A 44-year-old London man is now facing charges for:
