LSU Gets Visit from 5-Star All-American in Transfer Portal

LSU Gymnastics may be on the verge of landing one of the top gymnasts in the country. Madison Ulrich posted pictures on her Instagram from her visit to Baton Rouge. Although she used the hashtag #notcommitted, she seems like a perfect fit for LSU. Advertisement Madison said in the comments, 'Baton Rouge, how we feelin?[hearts emojis]' Her accomplishments as a student-athlete with the University of Denver Pioneers are nothing short of outstanding. She has recently recorded career highs on Vault (9.925), Beam (9.900), Floor (9.95), and All-Around (39.575) during the NCAA Second Round and Regionals last month. The former 5-star recruit from South Carolina has been a leader on Denver from the moment she arrived two years ago. In addition to being named the Big 12 Newcomer of the year in 2024, she followed it up by individually qualifying for the NCAA National Championships. It's clear that LSU is pulling out all the stops for this gymnast. The team's existing squad members had a lot to say about Ulrich's visit in the comments. Advertisement Haleigh Bryant posted, 'These are your colors. Yes, yes, yes!' Lexi Zeiss said, 'So fun having you!!!' Freshman Kaliya Lincoln posted, 'You look so good in purple and gold'. Kylie Coen posted, 'I like this!' Kailin Chio posted, 'Yes, ma'am!' And Junior Ashley Cowan posted, 'We feelin' good!' It's still very much uncertain where Ulrich will be competing next season, but the anticipation is clear. Madison's choices could significantly influence who the frontrunners will be for the 2026 gymnastics season. Heavy rainfall threat starting tomorrow and continuing through Saturday

() — Clouds will be increasing for today with showers showing up this morning across the upper-Texas coast. This activity will begin to work into the area later this afternoon, so I've increased rain chances to 30%. Starting tomorrow, atmospheric lift will increase and deeper moisture will work into the atmosphere. By tomorrow afternoon, thunderstorms will begin to develop across Acadiana, working from southwest-to-northeast. Friday night and into Saturday we could see 'training' thunderstorms, which means storms will develop and re-develop, moving over some of the same areas continuously. This could lead to the possibility of flash flooding. Models currently show anywhere from 2-4 inches of rainfall covering the Friday night through Saturday timeframe, but isolated higher amounts will be possible in isolated areas. It's in these isolated areas that flash flooding will be possible. The rainfall should end by Saturday night and we will clear out on Sunday. With sunshine, temperatures will warm back into the low-mid 80s. A frontal boundary will move through the area on Monday, giving us another chance of storms. Following this front, slightly cooler air will be possible next Tuesday, especially during the morning hours. Close Thanks for signing up! Watch for us in your inbox. LSU Gymnastics claims share of SEC regular season title LSU Gymnastics clinched a share of the SEC regular season championship with its win over No. 14 Auburn on Friday. The Tigers now set their sights on the SEC Championships, which start on March 22 in Birmingham, AL. Kailin Chio scored a perfect 10 on vault to start the meet, the first of her career. Haleigh Bryant claimed titles on bars and in the all-around with a 9.95 and 39.775, respectively. Aleah Finnegan won the floor with a 9.975 as LSU swept all five titles.
