Admitted Hezbollah terrorist to be deported after entering US illegally under Biden's watch
An illegal immigrant from Lebanon who admitted to being a member of the Hezbollah terror group network is slated to be deported a year after being caught and released into the country under former President Joe Biden's watch. Basel Bassel Ebbadi, 22, was captured by border agents in El Paso, Texas, on March 9, 2024 and immediately held in federal custody. He reportedly told investigators he was going to travel to New York and make a bomb and that his training with the Iran-backed terror network was focused on "jihad" and "killing people that was not Muslim." Ebbadi apparently told investigators he had an interest in leaving the group because he "didn't want to kill people," though he added that "once you're in, you can never get out." Noem Sends Message To Those Considering Entering Us Illegally: 'Don't Even Think About It' Nevertheless, Ebbadi was placed in isolation and referred to the Tactical Terrorism Response Team (TTRT) after allegedly making "terroristic threats to personnel." "If an individual poses a potential threat to national security or public safety, we deny admission, detain, remove, or refer them to other federal agencies for further vetting, investigation and/or prosecution as appropriate," a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol spokesperson told Fox News Digital at the time. Upon entering the U.S., he claimed his documents were stolen somewhere in Costa Rica. Under the Biden administration, border authorities released 400 suspected terrorists crossing into the U.S. illegally through the southern border, according to the Post. In January 2024, ICE arrested a member of the Somali al-Shabaab terrorist group. The unidentified suspect entered the U.S. illegally before being caught and released by border authorities in California. The person lived free for nearly a year before being caught in Minnesota. Among the measures implemented to strengthen the border, the Trump administration has halted the catch-and-release policy that allowed millions of illegal immigrants into the country under Biden's article source: Admitted Hezbollah terrorist to be deported after entering US illegally under Biden's watch

Noem taps new ICE leadership to bring back accountability and results
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem tapped a new director and deputy director to lead U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as she works to reinstate a culture of results and accountability under President Donald Trump's administration. Noem announced the appointments on Sunday, saying Todd Lyons will serve as acting ICE director, and Madison Sheahan will serve as the deputy director of ICE. "For the past four years, our brave men and women of ICE were barred from doing their jobs—ICE needs a culture of accountability that it has been starved of under the Biden Administration," Noem said. "Todd Lyons and Madison Sheahan are work horses, strong executors, and accountable leaders who will lead the men and women of ICE to achieve the American people's mandate to target, arrest and deport illegal aliens." In a press release, Homeland Security said Lyons currently serves as the acting executive associate director of ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO). Noem announces DHS registry for illegal aliens in US that will require them to be fingerprinted
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem is warning illegal immigrants in the U.S. that they should leave the country now or face serious consequences, including losing the opportunity to enjoy freedom and live the American dream. Noem appeared on "Jesse Watters Primetime" on Tuesday night to discuss her latest initiative, announcing an illegal alien registry that requires fingerprinting. The secretary said DHS will enforce the Immigration and Nationality Act, which was enacted in 1952 and created several tools to track illegal aliens and compel them to voluntarily leave the U.S. DHS said the tools include criminal penalties for migrants who choose not to leave the U.S., fail to register with the federal government and get fingerprinted, and fail to notify the federal government of changes to their address. Noem Sends Message To Those Considering Entering Us Illegally: 'Don't Even Think About It' Illegal immigrants who fail to depart the U.S. will be charged with a crime resulting in a "significant penalty," DHS said. Dhs Secretary Noem Appears To Accuse 'Corrupt' Fbi Of Leaking La Ice Raids Noem and DHS hope to convince illegal immigrants that self-deportation is a safer path, not just for them, but also for law enforcement officials. "President Trump and Secretary Noem have a clear message for those in our country illegally: leave now. If you leave now, you may have the opportunity to return and enjoy our freedom and live the American dream," DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin said. "The Trump administration will enforce all our immigration laws—we will not pick and choose which laws we will enforce. We must know who is in our country for the safety and security of our homeland and all Americans." The DHS encourages immigrants in the U.S. illegally to visit the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services website, where there are instructions on how to register with the federal government. Noem Ends Biden-era Use Of Controversial App To Allow Migrants To Board Flights, Except To Self-deport Noem's push comes more than a week after she sent a stern warning on behalf of President Donald Trump, to those planning on entering the U.S. illegally. "Let me deliver a message from President Trump to the world. If you are considering entering America illegally, don't even think about it," she said. "Let me be clear. If you come to our country, and you break our laws, we will hunt you down. Criminals are not welcome in the United States. For too long, weak leadership has left our borders wide open, flooding our communities with drugs, human trafficking, and violent criminals. Well, those days are over." Noem was the fourth member of the Trump administration to gain approval from the Senate, and is leading the department at a time when securing the border and tackling illegal immigration are top priorities for the new administration. The administration has taken a number of actions to secure the border, including deploying the military, restarting wall construction and ending Biden-era parole programs.
