The new Le Petit Poulet Rosé joins the range for £12.49, and it's available in stores from June 22. Building on last year's huge sales Aldi introduced Le Petit Poulet Rosé the supermarket has a 1.5L boxed version, offering double the wine. The Le Petit Poulet Rosé Boxed Wine has a larger, picnic-perfect format - but shoppers will have to be quick, because as with all Specialbuys, once they're gone, they're gone. Last summer, the 'chicken wine' was popular on TikTok and Instagram. It's named after the chicken on its label. Delicately pale and bursting with citrus and red berry notes, Le Petit Poulet Rosé comes from sun-drenched vineyards of Provence at a price that's 19% cheaper than market leader La Vielle Ferme. Crisp, refreshing blush is ideal for creating the perfect aperitif moment whilst soaking up the sun. Sam Caporn, Mistress of Wine, says yes, and the cardboard box shouldn't put drinkers off: 'Historically, lower quality wines were packaged in boxed format, with the perception being that customers wanted higher volume at a low price - but that's no longer the case. 'Boxed wines have many advantages. For example, boxed wine can stay fresh for considerably longer than bottled. 'There is usually a price advantage too, as you're not paying for heavy or expensive glass. And lastly, boxed wine tastes no different to bottled.'
