3 Killed After Tornado Hits Spain

Israa Farhan A powerful tornado struck southern Spain on Friday, destroying an agricultural warehouse and killing three workers inside. The tragedy occurred near the town of Dos Hermanas, close to Seville in the Andalusia region. Emergency services reported that rescue teams were called to the scene around 11:35 a.m. local time. The tornado's strong winds ripped the roof off the 500-square-meter warehouse, causing the building to collapse completely and trapping the workers inside. Following the incident, Spain's Minister of Labor and Social Economy announced the formation of a special investigation team to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the collapse. Labor unions also responded to the disaster. The Seville branch of the Workers' Commissions union stressed the need for companies to halt operations immediately when severe weather warnings are issued. Ignoring safety precautions was identified as a major risk factor for similar tragedies.
