IIMK-LIVE, Kudumbashree Mission launch ‘SmartShree'
The Laboratory for Innovation Venturing and Entrepreneurship (LIVE), the business incubator of the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK), in collaboration with the Kudumbashree Mission launched an initiative titled 'SmartShree' here on Friday.
The programme aims to support and scale 150 micro-enterprises led by Kudumbashree volunteer entrepreneurs across the State through structured capacity building, intensive mentorship, and institutional backing, a press release said.
Under the SmartShree initiative, IIMK-LIVE will provide select entrepreneurs with a structured incubation programme that includes in-depth enterprise diagnostics, customised business mentoring, practical capacity-building workshops, and focussed market linkage facilitation.
District Collector Snehil Kumar Singh was the chief guest. Prof. Ashutosh Sarkar, Executive Director, IIMK-LIVE, and P.C. Kavitha, District Mission Coordinator, Kudumbashree, were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Singh emphasised Kerala's unique standing as a welfare state. 'Initiatives like SmartShree are crucial to growing bigger and better through entrepreneurship,' he said.
'SmartShree' represents a transformative collaboration between IIMK-LIVE's robust entrepreneurial ecosystem and the Kudumbashree's extensive grassroots network. The initiative is designed to catalyse sustainable growth, enhance local livelihoods, and foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among women in Kerala.
Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, Director, IIM-K, said empowering women at the grassroots level was not just economic reform but a societal transformation.
