OSTDPS: Kidnapping attempt near Kyle under investigation
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A tribal member prevented a minor from an attempted kidnapping in Kyle on Tuesday, the Oglala Sioux Tribe Department of Public Safety (OSTDPS) said in a Facebook post.
Three unidentified men attempted to abduct a minor in the area in an incident reported at about 6:45 p.m. near American Creek Horse Road, public safety said. The Facebook post said, 'Thanks to a concerned tribal member, the minor was not taken and authorities were immediately notified.'

Oglala public safety and the FBI are investigating.
'This incident is being taken very seriously and investigators are working diligently to identify and locate the suspects. OSTDPS and the FBI urge anyone with information to come forward,' public safety said on the Facebook post.
