NIA raids gym owner in Haryana's Jind over Rs 16,000 transactions with a/c linked to Pak individuals

1 2 3 4 Jind: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted a raid at the residence of a gym owner in the wee hours of Saturday in Jind district. The gym owner, Kasish, also owns a garments business reportedly linked to Dubai and Delhi. Sources said the NIA raided the house in Sector 8 of Jind city following suspicious transactions made in certain accounts a year ago. The gym owner allegedly made two transactions, Rs 9,000 and Rs 7,000, to an account that was under surveillance and suspected to be linked to individuals with possible connections to Pakistan. According to reports, a team of over 12 NIA personnel arrived at the location around 5am and searched the house. The investigation lasted for more than six hours. The team left the premises around 11am, taking the gym owner with them for further questioning. Kasish's mother, speaking to media after the raid, said she teaches in a private school while her son runs a gym and is involved in the garments business. "My son used to order clothes from a shop in Chandni Chowk of Delhi, which is said to be known for Lahore-style suits. There is nothing suspicious in this matter. The NIA is investigating, and I hope they will release my son once they are satisfied," she added. During the raid, local police were deployed at the scene. No one was allowed to enter or leave the house during the operation. Local police declined to comment on the matter.
