Youth hit by car while walking in East Preston, N.S.

A youth suffered non-life-threatening injuries after they were hit by a car while walking in East Preston, N.S., Tuesday afternoon.
RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment, fire and ambulance crews responded to a report of a collision near the 2280 block of Highway 7 around 3:30 p.m.
Police say a Honda Civic hit a youth that 'suddenly' tried to cross the road
The youth had been walking on the side of the road with another youth moments before the collision, according to an RCMP news release.
The youth that was hit by the car suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital by EHS.
The driver of the Civic, a 48-year-old man from Lake Echo, was not injured.
