Wisconsin bank robbery suspect arrested in northern Illinois after officers spot vehicle in Chicagoland area
(WFRV) – At least one suspect in an ATM robbery at a bank in Wisconsin was taken into custody by officers in a Chicagoland-area city on Tuesday evening.
The Cedarburg Police Department reported that officers are still investigating an ATM robbery of the Port Washington State Bank on May 20, 2025. According to the release, an initial suspect vehicle was abandoned shortly after near a business in Grafton.

Local law enforcement's investigation revealed a second suspect vehicle, and they attempted to locate it by communicating with other departments. The Lake Forest Police Department in northern Illinois spotted the suspect vehicle.
Lake Forest officers attempted to stop it; however, the suspect vehicle fled and crashed, with occupants fleeing on foot. One person was arrested amidst the foot pursuit.
