Pursue hard work and uphold values: Mahana to Board exam toppers
Kanpur: The Jagrat Sahodaya Schools (JSS), an organisation of CBSE Schools, hosted a felicitation ceremony at Dr Virendra Swarup Education Centre on Friday, to honour the outstanding students who secured top positions in Class 10 and 12 CBSE board examinations at both school and city levels.
Speaker of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Satish Mahana, attended the event as the chief guest. Lakhan Omar, chairman of the Cantonment Board, attended the programme as the Guest of Honour.
The programme began with the traditional lighting of the lamp. Students enthralled the audience with vibrant cultural performances, including dance and music, creating a lively and celebratory atmosphere.
In his inspiring address, Mahana encouraged the students to pursue hard work, uphold moral values, and maintain discipline in life, while extending his best wishes for their bright futures.
The toppers of the city and schools said that during preparation for Board examinations, every student should stay away from social media, TV, and mobile phones. They should not study from YouTube channels, instead they should solve sample papers given on the CBSE website to know the type of questions and marking scheme to get the best scores.
Archana Nigam, president of the Jagrat Sahodaya Schools Organisation, and secretary Vijayashree Pandey shared motivating messages that further uplifted and encouraged the young achievers. A total of 51 students were honoured with awards and certificates for their academic excellence.
Mementos were presented to the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour as tokens of appreciation.
