South Indian actor Akhil Akkhineni's wedding with entrepreneur Zainab Ravdjee a couple of days ago was one of the grandest celebrations. His actor brother, Naga Chaitanya 's happiness seemed no bound, and the photos from the event radiated pure family goals and brotherly love. But do you know that Akhil and Chaitanya are not real brothers?

The coolest brothers of the Akkineni clan, Naga Chaitanya and Akhil Akkineni, are both sons of the veteran actor Nagarjuna Akkineni. However, the duo was born to different mothers. Despite not being real siblings, Chay and Akhil have always been loving and caring towards one another and never miss any chance to leave their fans drooling over their strong bond.
Talking about their mothers, while Chaitanya was born to Nagarjuna from his first wife, Lakshmi Daggubati, Akhil is the son of the Govinda Govinda star and his second wife, Amala Akkineni.

Nagarjuna's marriages
For those unaware, it was in February 1984 when Nagarjuna tied the knot with Lakshmi Daggubati, and together they were blessed with a son two years later. The doting parents named their first child Naga Chaitanya. Unfortunately, their marriage was short-lived and they got divorced in 1990 due to reasons best known to the couple.
Later, Nagarjuna married actress Amala in 1992, and the couple welcomed a son, Akhil Akkineni. On the other hand, Lakshmi also moved on in her life and got hitched with Sharath Vijayaraghavan, a corporate executive of Sundaram Motors, and settled in the USA with him.

Despite Nagarjuna and Lakshmi's divorce, they never let their separation affect their child. While Chaitanya lives with his father and his stepmother Amala Akkineni in their Hyderabad house, he often visits his mother in America and goes on vacation with her to many other places. On the other hand, Chay and Amala have a special bond with one another, and proof of the same has often been found in their interviews.

Naga Chaitanya's mother, Lakshmi hails from an eminent family
Talking about Nagarjuna's first wife, Lakshmi, she hails from one of the prominent families in Tollywood. She is the daughter of eminent filmmaker-cum-producers in the Telugu film industry, Daggubati Ramanaidu, sister of actor Venkatesh Daggubati and aunt of the Bahubali star Rana Daggubati. Reportedly, Lakshmi has also started her own company titled Lakshmi Interiors.
Both Nagarjuna's sons have taken forward the legacy of their father and etched a special place with their acting skills in the hearts of millions of fans. Coming to their personal lives, Chaitanya was previously married to actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu, but the two announced their separation right before marking their fourth wedding anniversary. After getting divorced, the actor moved on with his life with another prominent actress Sobhita Dhulipala. Last year, they tied the knot at the Annapurna Studios. On the other hand, Akhil is set to begin his forever journey with Zainab Ravdjee on June 6.
